Requirements

About the Role

The client is seeking experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth within the High-Net-Worth (HNW) intermediary channel. You will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with HNW insurance brokers, wealth advisory firms, private banks, family offices, and key distribution partners to grow new business and market share.

This role requires a strong understanding of HNW insurance solutions, intermediary distribution, relationship management, and business development within the life insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute distribution strategies to grow premium production through HNW insurance brokers and strategic intermediary partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with broker principals, advisers, case managers, and key decision-makers.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the insurer's presence within the HNW and affluent client segment.
• Conduct regular broker visits, business reviews, product presentations, and training sessions.
• Drive awareness and adoption of life insurance, wealth preservation, legacy planning, and protection solutions.
• Partner closely with underwriting, operations, product, and case management teams to deliver exceptional service to intermediaries.
• Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and feedback on broker needs and emerging opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in life insurance distribution, broker relationship management, business development, or intermediary sales.
• Good understanding of life insurance, wealth planning, estate planning, and HNW client needs.
• Proven track record of achieving sales, distribution, or business development targets.
• Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide HR support and guidance to line managers on a wide range of HR matters such as talent acquisition, benefits and learning & development, performance management, compliance and the successful execution of HR programs and initiatives

• Perform the Annual Outsourcing Review on the serviced providers in accordance with MAS Outsourcing Guidelines and Head Office’s Requirement

• Formulate, review, update and maintain HR Policies and Procedures to align with market practice

• Drive the recruitment with the line managers, handle the end-to-end recruitment which includes sourcing, interviewing, offer and negotiation

• Responsible for the full on-boarding of new hires, maintenance of employee personal files and off-boarding for leavers

• Responsible for preparing and submitting the reports to Head Office and the labour market surveys to the regulators promptly

• Create new joiner records and update the staff training record in Workday

• Provide training support and solution to employees and keep track of RNF representatives training requirements to comply with local regulatory requirements

• Plan and organise engaging social activities for the Bank to foster closer interaction and bonding among the staff

• Handle any other ad-hoc tasks and projects as requested by the immediate supervisor or Branch Manager
