A Snapshot 

As the Senior Supply Chain Manager, reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, you will work closely with the Supply Chain & Procurement (SC&P) team, making your mark in a number of ways: 

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to align with business objectives to deliver the highest safety, quality, time and cost-effective solutions across existing and new and existing regions 

• Lead the Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) and Logistics verticals 

• Collaborate with internal teams across APJ to anticipate regional business needs,  allowing the supply chain function to respond proactively

Your Day to Day 

• Partner with Procurement and other key stakeholder groups to optimise logistics arrangements across projects, countries, suppliers, and equipment categories 

• Launch, promote, and maintain the Supply Chain Intelligence hub 

• Develop and grow the Supply Chain Intelligence vertical so that Procurement and other teams can utilize objective intelligence data to enhance strategic development and everyday decision making 

• Lead and run key business project initiatives that support strategic growth 

• Promote our continued drive for supply chain excellence, focusing on safety and quality, contract performance, ESG, continuous improvement 

• Communicate expectations to internal stakeholders within AirTrunk and build positive and collaborative relationships, influencing others to achieve desired outcomes 

• Identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities  

• Develop and promote reporting dashboards/bulletins to keep track of key benefits derived from logistics initiatives

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage jet fuel supply & trading, aviation marketing and oil trading daily business, strictly control risks, and carry out trading activities in accordance with the company's internal control and compliance requirements to ensure that no risks and violations occur;

• Maintain good business relationships with customers, suppliers, affiliates and relevant partners;
• Work closely with the Operation, Risk Management, Legal and Compliance and Finance Department to ensure that trading risks are controllable, efficient in execution, and accurate in accounting;
• Submit relevant business data and analysis materials to the Senior Management, Board of Directors, CNAF and relevant departments as required;
• Conducts knowledge sharing sessions related to jet fuel and oil trading with all employees, including but not limited to internal training, external training and data sharing;

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent;
• 15 years of relevant working experience, with a minimum of 8 years in jet fuel trading (physical and derivatives) ;
• Familiar with oil-related trading business and investments, in-depth understanding of market and pricing structure in related products/areas  ;
• Seasoned, resilient, independent and resourceful, business acumen, excellent organisational, networking and leadership skills;
• Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;
• Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese-speaking stakeholders both orally and in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).

Responsibilities:

• Source, assess, and select suppliers for materials, equipment, products, and services, while managing overall vendor relationships.
• Handle and process purchase requisitions and orders efficiently.
• Request and evaluate quotations for stores, spares, and service requirements based on RFQs from vessels and operations teams.
• Ensure that all procurement activities follow organizational policies and procedures.
• Develop framework agreements with suppliers and ensure procurement of relevant goods and services under these agreements whenever possible. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal value and service.
• Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and price benchmarking.
• Coordinate servicing and other support services to meet Class requirements, including annual inspections and related activities.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses before making procurement recommendations.
• Verify that invoices are accurately matched with purchase orders and delivery documents, and ensure correct account coding.
• Ensure timely approval of invoices by relevant personnel and submit them promptly to accounts.
• Communicate with clients for approvals and track the progress of requisitions.
• Organize logistics to ensure timely delivery of spares and stores to vessels, with consistent follow-up.
• Provide input and recommendations to improve task execution and operational procedures.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in vessel procurement, preferably for offshore vessels such as AHTS, PSV, or Subsea assets; experience with conventional fleet vessels may also be considered.
• Previous work in the maritime, shipping, or offshore sector, either with ship management companies or vessel owners, in a procurement role.
• Strong understanding of the dynamic procurement needs of vessels and their operational requirements.
• Experience managing logistics, supply chain, and delivery of spares and stores.
• Knowledge and practical experience with marine purchasing systems.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver timely and clear updates.

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Sourcing & Procurement Specialist / Manager to oversee and optimise the company’s sourcing, procurement, and supplier management functions. This role is responsible for identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining supply continuity to support business growth.

The ideal candidate has strong sourcing experience, excellent negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of procurement processes across domestic and international supply chains. Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods environments will be a strong advantage. The candidate may also be directly involved in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and inventory operations, ensuring seamless coordination across the procurement and operational cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Supplier Management

a. Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business and operational requirements.

b. Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers across relevant product categories.

c. Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.

d. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and manage corrective actions where required.

e. Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and potential supply risks.

Procurement Operations

a. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, purchase orders, and delivery coordination.

b. Lead commercial and contract negotiations to secure favourable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs).

c. Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

d. Maintain accurate procurement documentation, contracts, and records.

Cost Control & Optimization

a. Perform spend analysis and cost benchmarking to identify savings and efficiency opportunities.

b. Work closely with cross-functional teams and Finance to manage procurement budgets and track cost savings.

c. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing and procurement processes.

Supply Chain & Operations Involvement

a. Be directly involved in and work closely with supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and inventory operations to ensure smooth coordination, optimal stock levels, and timely deliveries.

b. Support inventory planning by aligning procurement timelines with demand forecasts and stock requirements.

c. Monitor logistics performance, lead times, and inventory turnover to minimise disruptions and excess stock.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

a. Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, E-commerce, Product, Finance, and Logistics to align sourcing needs with business objectives.

b. Provide procurement expertise and recommendations to support product launches, promotions, and operational planning.
