SUMMARY

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Restaurant General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the operating restaurant units assigned. We are hiring a General Manager / Commercial Lead to oversee overall business performance across operations, sales, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across CAL & CAL MED

• Drive revenue performance and develop strategies to improve sales and conversion

• Monitor profitability, cost control, and overall business performance

• Manage and align sales, operations, and marketing teams

• Oversee marketing direction and ensure campaigns are commercially effective

• Establish structure, systems, SOPs, and reporting across the business

• Recruit, train, and structure the team to support business growth

• Set performance standards and manage team accountability

• Ensure consistency in operations, service standards, and customer experience across all locations

• Identify gaps and implement solutions proactively

• Prepare weekly performance reports (sales, marketing, team, key issues) with clear action plans

• Take full ownership of execution and results across the business

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a business unit, multi-outlet operations, or similar scope

• Strong commercial understanding of revenue, profitability, and sales performance

• Experience managing cross-functional teams (sales, operations, marketing)

• Good understanding of branding and marketing from a business perspective

• Comfortable making decisions independently and taking ownership

Experience in aesthetics, beauty, wellness, fitness, or F&B is preferred.

Our Client is an established Singapore-based provider of specialised cleaning and facilities services, supporting both residential and commercial customers through a highly operational and service-driven delivery model. The business is seeking to appoint a General Manager to take ownership of day-to-day business performance while enabling the Founder to focus on longer-term strategic priorities. This is a pivotal leadership role with oversight across operations, sales, finance and marketing, and accountability for service execution across multiple sites and a sizeable frontline workforce.

The successful individual will drive operational discipline, workforce deployment effectiveness, service quality and continuous process improvement in a fast-moving environment where responsiveness and consistency are key differentiators. You will work closely with functional leaders to ensure strong alignment between corporate planning and on-ground execution across both residential and commercial service segments.

While the role carries full P&L accountability and commercial oversight, the primary emphasis is on operational leadership and execution excellence. Candidates should bring proven experience managing distributed blue-collar or field-based teams in service-intensive environments such as specialised cleaning, facilities management, logistics, outsourced services, or multi-site F&B operations. A hands-on leadership style, comfort operating in a highly operational and fully on-site environment, resilience under pressure, and the ability to scale processes, improve workforce productivity, and maintain service standards will be critical to success.

Job Description：

• Act as the main interface coordinator between LTA, SMRT, civil contractors, track and PSD teams

• Manage civil-to-PSD handover and ensure site readiness (survey, coring, track alignment, TVM status)

• Review and coordinate design interfaces; resolve clearance, alignment, and installation issues

• Plan and control installation sequence (Civil → Survey → Coring → TVM → PSD)

• Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and track access with construction schedule

• Manage site access, permits, and multi-contractor coordination

• Track interface issues, mitigate risks, and drive timely resolution

• Liaise with authorities and stakeholders for technical coordination and compliance

• Support testing & commissioning, ensuring system integration readiness

• Maintain interface documentation, reports, and progress tracking

Requirements：

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or related disciplines)
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant working experience in engineering and/or construction industry
• At least 5 years experience in railway / MRT projects
• Prior experience in Platform Screen Door (PSD), E&M systems, or railway system projects will be an added advantage
• Strong coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams
• Willing and able to work on-site, including night shifts or during track access hours when required
• Strong command of both written and spoken Chinese and English, with proven ability to liaise with headquarters in China
