As a Procurement Officer/Executive, he/she is responsible for buying the general equipment, goods and services, at the most competitive prices in support of the project teams.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Create purchase orders from purchase requisitions from Project Team.
• Liaising with vendors to obtain project or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Obtain price quotes from multiple suppliers.
• Interact with the suppliers on day to day basis.
• Data entry and filing paperwork.
• Expedite delivery of good to users.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in purchasing and supply chain management or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years of purchasing experience
• Preferable from building and construction firms
• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures, including vendor qualification and performance monitoring.
• Advanced computer, specifically Microsoft office and ERP systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and creative thought processing skills.
• Team player & able to work under pressure/ demanding pressure at times.
• Effectiveness & efficiency of negotiations (cost/benefit).
• Attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment independently and with time constraints.
• Must be pro-active, patients, right attitude, initiative, independent and solution oriented.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in vessel procurement, preferably for offshore vessels such as AHTS, PSV, or Subsea assets; experience with conventional fleet vessels may also be considered.

• Previous work in the maritime, shipping, or offshore sector, either with ship management companies or vessel owners, in a procurement role.

• Strong understanding of the dynamic procurement needs of vessels and their operational requirements.

• Experience managing logistics, supply chain, and delivery of spares and stores.
