Our client is a well-established Local MNC Independent Distributor within the marine industrial supply sector, providing logistics and distribution support for a wide range of engineering and maritime components. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to support and strengthen their warehouse operations team. They are located in the (West) – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including goods receiving, storage allocation, order picking, packing, and shipment dispatch.

• Maintain inventory accuracy across warehouse locations through monitoring, stock reconciliation, and scheduled cycle counts.

• Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities with procurement and supply teams.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with suppliers, freight partners, and internal departments to ensure timely movement of goods.

• Monitor order fulfilment timelines and delivery performance to ensure operational continuity.

• Manage warehouse layout planning, storage allocation, and space utilization to support operational flow.

• Ensure appropriate storage and handling of marine and industrial materials in accordance with operational requirements.

• Supervise warehouse personnel including supervisors, coordinators, and warehouse assistants while managing manpower deployment and shift planning.

• Implement warehouse operational procedures and documentation standards for inventory and logistics activities.

• Review workflow processes and introduce operational improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and inventory handling.

• Support the implementation or utilisation of warehouse systems or digital tracking tools for operational monitoring.

• Maintain operational documentation for inventory movement, shipment records, and logistics transactions.

• Ensure warehouse operations comply with workplace safety regulations and operational standards.

• Monitor and resolve operational issues relating to inventory handling or shipment processes.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

• Familiarity with inventory control, warehouse workflow management, and shipment coordination.

• Exposure to marine supply, engineering distribution, or industrial equipment sectors will be advantageous.

• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems.

7. Manage Order Quantities vs. Allocation and Factory Capacity

• Review and validate customer orders by coordinating with Production, Customer Support, and Sales teams.
• Adjust order quantities based on factory output, material availability, and allocation rules to ensure stable supply.

8. Maintain Appropriate Stock Levels

• Develop and execute inventory planning strategies that optimize stock levels.
• Ensure accuracy between system inventory and physical stock.
• Prevent stockouts, overstock, and aging inventory through proactive forecasting and monitoring.

9. Resolve Issues with Staff and Related Parties

• Act as a key escalation point for customer delivery commitments, coordinating with Sales, Customer Support, factories, and logistics partners to meet required lead-time and prevent late deliveries
• Provide guidance and solutions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or equivalent field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory planning, demand forecasting, and purchasing processes.
• Experience in electronics, manufacturing, or distribution industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, A.I tools, PC & Excel skills.

The IT Commodity Manager is responsible for developing the sourcing strategies for the IT category. The person in this position would be recognized as a sourcing expert for Technology-related categories, would liaise with legal, act as a procurement ambassador to the business, and integrate into the business to ensure complete alignment and a deep understanding of business goals, and would partner in developing sourcing strategies. The goal is to be a value-added sourcing partners to the business. 

Additional responsibilities include negotiating information technology contracts for software licensing, telecom, data center, and computer hardware and server products, and related maintenance and support services that may be site-specific or have global reach. The position involves developing negotiation strategies, advising requestors on contract terms and conditions, monitoring cost and scope of assigned contracts to assure compliance, best value, and validating/improving pricing. The IT Commodity Manager may recommend cost-saving proposals, including alternative sourcing, and will exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop, manage, and execute strategies for the IT Category  
• Conduct RFP and lead cross-functional teams through the selection process of preferred suppliers with effective scoring criteria to critically evaluate supplier proposals in accordance with company policies
• Collaborate with  IT/Legal stakeholders to assess, understand, and prioritize business needs to optimize value with WD’s supply base
• Conduct spend/contract/proposal analysis for the supply of software licensing, computer hardware, servers, data center, and telecom services, and present recommendations to Procurement and IT leadership team
• Lead negotiations on commercial procurement agreements, including, but not limited to, Master Agreements (MSA’s), Statements of Work (SOWs), Change Orders (COs), balancing business deliverables, legal interests, and pricing
• Analyze total costs, assist business functions with ROI analysis, price and rate benchmarking, and negotiate favorable business terms to leverage Western Digital's purchasing power
• Research market intelligence to understand cost drivers and market trends

Category Management

• Develop, refine, and implement category strategies and tactics that enable the procurement of technology products and services at the highest value benefit to the company
• Cultivate, enhance, and deepen cross-functional stakeholder relationships  at all levels, serving as the  subject matter expert on behalf of the  procurement organization
• Actively monitor  internal/external trends,  synthesize and distill the business intelligence into actionable opportunities and pipeline projects that can and will be delivered to Western Digital’s  bottom line on an ongoing basis

Supplier Management

• Manage supplier relationships with a focus on supply/contract and cost management

• Lead supplier performance business reviews  on a quarterly basis to enhance performance delivery from strategic partners
• Mediate supplier issues and resolve supplier contract disputes as needed
• Develop supplier rationalization entitlements for each category

Contract Management

• Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to standardize lifecycle contract and sourcing processes and systems
• Ensure pricing & deliverables as negotiated are included in the contract; coordinate comparison of proposals and final contract terms
• Act as a liaison between Legal and the business
