As a Data Scientist (Associate Consultant), you will use data science and Generative AI techniques to develop models and products that support a range of EDB divisions across investment promotion, industry development and corporate functions. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with key stakeholders to identify business challenges, translate requirements into technical solutions, and deliver AI and Machine Learning products that drive measurable outcomes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To perform this role, you must have/ be:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning / Data Science / AI or related disciplines;
• Able to understand and apply a range of AI/ML  techniques for regression and classification
• Familiar with popular python packages ( e.g. pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, XGBoost, NLTK, spaCy )
• Understanding of LLM concepts (e.g. context windows, embeddings, chunking, token management) and architectures (e.g. RAG)
• Experience with context engineering techniques and prompt optimization strategies

Job Description:

• Design, develop and implement PLC programs for automation and control systems
• Provide support for commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting for various control and automation projects

Requirements:

We are seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Technical Superintendent to support our Technical Department in handling flag administration, statutory compliance, PSC/FSI matters, RO coordination, and technical case management.

Preferred Qualification

The candidate should preferably hold a Master Mariner background, with Singapore COC or UK COC preferred, and should have command experience on board vessels.

Main Responsibilities

1. Review vessel compliance lists and follow up with the Compliance Team on statutory certificates, P&I cover, PSC/FSI matters, and outstanding deficiencies.

2. Coordinate with ROs and Class Societies on surveys, audits, statutory certificates, exemptions, deficiencies, and technical matters.

3. Prepare attestation letters, dispensations, exemptions, and technical authorization requests for review.

4. Monitor PSC detention cases, PSC/FSI deficiencies, casualty reports, technical non-compliance, and ensure all deficiencies are closed out within the required timeline.

5. Communicate with Owners, Managers, ROs, and other relevant parties regarding technical matters, Flag instructions, and required follow-up actions.

6. Maintain proper technical records and supporting evidence for each vessel case in the company system.

7. Handle and follow up on investigation cases, MLC complaints, accidents, incidents, and related updates in the company system.

8. Escalate high-risk cases to management for review and decision.

9. Track vessel trading patterns and identify high-risk calls, including:

• Calls to high-risk PSC ports;
• Calls to Russia or other high-risk trading areas;
• Vessels operating without valid statutory certificates;
• Cases requiring FSI or Pre-PSC inspection arrangements.

10. Maintain proper records for IMSAS-related matters.

11. Maintain proper records and updates in IMO GISIS, where applicable.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

Lead / Technology Developer (Electro Chemistry)

Position Overview:

Drive the development of new and improved key technology building blocks within a broader and more complex requirement framework while systematically expanding knowledge within their sub technology field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate, perform and support key developments of products, materials, processes, technology modules and methods within the framework of feasibility studies, business cases and/or projects, incl. experimental work and coordination of lab, pilot or production trials.

• Contribute to and initiate invention disclosures.

• Assist QP(S) and Resident Engineers in the site supervision of civil/structural works.
• Work closely with Project Management Team, QP(S), QP(D), Client, Contractors and local Authorities to ensure successful and timely completion of the project.
• Coordinate with Contractor’s site personnel to resolve site issues.
• Carry out regular site inspections on Contractor’s works to ensure work quality & site safety.
• Ensure Contractor’s works is carried out in accordance with approved designs and drawings.
• Identify any non-conformance of Contractor's works on site and conduct check on Contractor’s rectification of non-conformance.
• Ensure proper and up-to-date site documentation for on-going and completed works.

Requirements

• Minimally a Diploma in any construction-related field, or National Certificate on Construction Supervision (NCSS) or Diploma in Construction Engineering from BCA Academy.
• Possess minimum three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
• Candidate must be a registered Resident Technical Officer.
• Well versed with local Building Regulations/Acts and Codes of Practice.
