Due to expansion, we are now seeking a dynamic individual to join us as Head of Sales: Japan at Prestige Products Distribution Pte. Ltd.
Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate shall:
· Be responsible for the setting up of our new business in Tokyo Japan and this includes hiring a core pioneer team to manage key functions, setting up the inventory, accounting, HR/Payroll and POS systems.
· Be responsible for the setting up and expanding our distribution network, wholesale and retail businesses, and “doors” throughout Japan.
· Achieve sales and profitability targets, and other financial and non-financial objectives set by HQ Management and our Suppliers.
· Be responsible for the compliance of all laws, taxes and licensing requirements.
· Be responsible for timely and accurate submission of reports to the Japanese authorities.
· Possess extensive knowledge of the luxury fragrance and cosmetics trade.
· Work closely with HQ Management and regional teams on best practices and strategies to increase sales and profitability.
· Hire, supervise, motivate, train and guide the sales & marketing teams to deliver quality services and meet their respective targets.
· Maintain sales outlets, counters and boutiques in excellent conditions such that it enhances shopping experience that shall lead to stronger brand loyalty, prestige and higher sales.
· Possess an extensive network of contacts in Japan that complement the fragrance and cosmetics business.
· Be able to secure good locations for counters, pop-ups and boutiques at competitive terms.
· All other functions and ad-hoc projects and tasks to be assigned.
Job Requirements:
· University Degree from a recognised university is preferred.
· Strong business acumen with a proven track record in sales & marketing with at least 15-20 years experiences in luxury fragrance and cosmetics business.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Charismatic with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
· Can speak, read and write English and Japanese.
· Ability to travel and based in Tokyo, Japan.
· Good computer literacy with proficiency in MS-Office, Acrobat and other productive software and applications.
· Sales-driven and possesses a pleasant, responsible and meticulous personality.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
· Ability to communicate with staff from all levels.
· Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
