Role Summary

The Costing Engineer is responsible for end‑to‑end cost estimation, control, and reporting across semiconductor fab construction (base‑build). The role develops benchmarked, defensible cost models; supports design‑to‑cost decisions; drives tendering/commercial rigor; and ensures predictable CAPEX outcomes for cleanrooms, subfab structures, ultra‑high purity (UHP) utilities, abatement, and high‑density electrical/mechanical systems. You will collaborate with Facilities Engineering, Tool Install, Process/Equipment Engineering, QS/Commercial, Procurement, and Planning to deliver cost certainty from feasibility through handover.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Pre‑Construction / Feasibility & Concept

• Build Class 5–3 estimates for greenfield fabs, brownfield expansions, and capacity upgrades.

• Develop parametric cost models (cost per sqft cleanroom, per utility density) and maintain historical benchmarks by technology node and region.

• Identify scope/risks for cleanrooms (ISO 3–7), subfab, UPW/WWT, CDA/N₂, HPM gases, exhaust & abatement, electrical distribution, chilled water/HVAC.

2) Design Development / Front‑End Planning

• Provide design‑to‑cost inputs on cleanroom type, plenum heights, slab/vibration criteria (VC‑A to VC‑E), redundancy (N+1/2N), and specialty materials (FM‑approved, chemical‑resistant).

• Quantify and compare alternatives (modular utility skids vs stick‑build, ceiling grid/FFU density, substrate/trench layouts) with TCO/ROI implications.

• Align estimates with facility load from Process/Equipment Engineering and Line Planning.

• Able to prepare BOQs, rate build‑ups, and bid packages across C/S/A/M/E/P scopes if required.

• Lead RFQ/RFP processes: clarify scope, normalize bids, validate inclusions/exclusions (HPM compliance, seismic supports, cleanroom finishes).

• Create and defend should‑cost breakdowns for UHP piping, gas cabinets, bulk/CDA/N₂ systems, scrubbers/abatement, electrical switchgear, and modular skids.

3) Risk, Compliance & Governance

• Lead Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA); model scenarios for commodity volatility (stainless/copper), lead times (switchgear/chillers), UHP welding productivity, certification failures.

• Ensure compliance with FM Global, NFPA/IFC, SCDF requirements, local codes, and internal audit.

• Keep documentation audit‑ready (assumptions, sources, bid tabs, approvals).

4) Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Produce monthly cost reports, VE registers, risk logs, cash flow updates, and executive summaries.

• Present cost deltas for design changes and VE proposals with quantified savings and schedule impact.

• Interface with Facilities/Tool‑Install/Line Planning, QS/Commercial, Procurement, PMO, and suppliers/contractors.

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• 5–10+ years of cost engineering/estimating experience, with semiconductor fab or advanced manufacturing projects (cleanrooms, UHP, tool‑install) strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated competency in BOQ take‑offs, rate build‑ups, estimating classes, tender evaluations, and cost control.

Project Management

• Assist with end-to-end project delivery for core banking initiatives including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Act as the primary point of contact for core banking-related queries and escalations.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Temenos T24 core banking system.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information System, Business, Finance, or any relevant academic stream.
• Proven track record in T24 migration projects and module implementations.
• Strong domain knowledge in customer, accounts, loans, and the deposit using AA, TPH, SWIFT/MEPS+/FAST/PayNow payments, accounting and ledger, FX, trade finance, credit limit and collateral, non-stop processing, etc.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex banking projects.
• Familiarity with MAS regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical skills, process driven, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills:

• T24 Technical Certification or equivalent.
• Experience with T24 Transact, Integration Framework (IF), and IRIS.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices (GitLab) and cloud-based deployments (preferably Huawei Cloud).
• Agile/Scrum project management experience.

About the Role

KSYS Solutions is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end implementation of our new global trade finance platform, CGI Trade360. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our trade finance business operations and the technical implementation teams. You will ensure that the system is configured to meet our strategic business needs, optimizes our workflows, and complies with all global trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• System Implementation & Configuration: Act as the primary business SME for the implementation of CGI Trade360. Guide the configuration of the platform for traditional trade (Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Guarantees/SBLCs) and Supply Chain Finance.

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, gather, and document detailed business requirements, translating "as-is" operational processes into optimized "to-be" system workflows.

• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Work closely with the IT department, project managers, and the vendor (CGI) to ensure business requirements are clearly understood, correctly mapped, and delivered on time.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Develop comprehensive test scripts, identify defects, and work with the technical teams to resolve issues prior to go-live.

• Process Re-engineering: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing trade finance processes utilizing the out-of-the-box capabilities of CGI Trade360.

Qualifications & Experience

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 12 years of extensive experience in Trade Finance Operations, Product Management, or Trade Finance Transformation within a banking or corporate environment.

• System Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience implementing CGI Trade360 is required. (Experience with other major trade platforms like Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation or Surecomp may be considered a strong asset, but CGI Trade360 knowledge is the primary focus).

• Domain Knowledge: Deep, technical understanding of international trade finance products (Import/Export LCs, Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees, Collections, Supply Chain Finance/Factoring).

• Regulatory Familiarity: Comprehensive knowledge of ICC rules and practices (UCP 600, ISBP, ISP98, URDG 758, URC 522).

• Project Experience: Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and experience working within Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
