About the Role
KSYS Solutions is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end implementation of our new global trade finance platform, CGI Trade360. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our trade finance business operations and the technical implementation teams. You will ensure that the system is configured to meet our strategic business needs, optimizes our workflows, and complies with all global trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
System Implementation & Configuration: Act as the primary business SME for the implementation of CGI Trade360. Guide the configuration of the platform for traditional trade (Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Guarantees/SBLCs) and Supply Chain Finance.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, gather, and document detailed business requirements, translating "as-is" operational processes into optimized "to-be" system workflows.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Work closely with the IT department, project managers, and the vendor (CGI) to ensure business requirements are clearly understood, correctly mapped, and delivered on time.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Develop comprehensive test scripts, identify defects, and work with the technical teams to resolve issues prior to go-live.
Process Re-engineering: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing trade finance processes utilizing the out-of-the-box capabilities of CGI Trade360.
Training & Change Management: Develop comprehensive user manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials. Conduct hands-on training sessions to ensure a smooth transition and high user adoption rate across the global operations team.
Post Go-Live Support: Provide early-stage troubleshooting and support immediately following the system launch, acting as the first point of escalation for functional system queries.
Qualifications & Experience
Industry Experience: Minimum of 12 years of extensive experience in Trade Finance Operations, Product Management, or Trade Finance Transformation within a banking or corporate environment.
System Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience implementing CGI Trade360 is required. (Experience with other major trade platforms like Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation or Surecomp may be considered a strong asset, but CGI Trade360 knowledge is the primary focus).
Domain Knowledge: Deep, technical understanding of international trade finance products (Import/Export LCs, Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees, Collections, Supply Chain Finance/Factoring).
Regulatory Familiarity: Comprehensive knowledge of ICC rules and practices (UCP 600, ISBP, ISP98, URDG 758, URC 522).
Project Experience: Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and experience working within Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
