• Deep technical expertise in enterprise Java, Spring Boot microservices, and modern integration patterns including Kafka, IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Strong practical experience with cloud-native deployment patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps frameworks utilizing ArgoCD.
• Proven track record delivering secure, internet-facing web and mobile applications with deep knowledge of SSO, OIDC, SAML, MFA, and OWASP standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy navigation algorithms for robots operating in complex indoor environments
• Own localization, mapping, and SLAM pipelines running in real time on embedded compute
• Build planning frameworks for terrain traversal and dynamic obstacle avoidance
• Integrate navigation with the wider autonomy stack, including perception and motion control
• Build data collection and evaluation infrastructure to benchmark performance across environments
• Validate in simulation and close the sim-to-real gap through hardware iteration

Requirements

• Strong foundations in estimation theory, probabilistic robotics, and motion planning
• Hands-on experience with SLAM, planning, or autonomous navigation systems on real robots, gained through industry or research work
• Proficient in Python and C++, with ROS or equivalent middleware
• Experience getting systems working end-to-end on physical hardware, not only in simulation
• Able to debug across the hardware-software boundary and work through ambiguous problems

As a Staff/Senior Software Engineer: 

• Lead one or more cross-functional agile squads consisting of Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to solicit business requirements & deliver technical solutions 

• Lead the technical design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring security, scalability, performance, and maintainability 

• Guide, mentor and work closely with your team to to uplift product engineering competencies 

• Establish coding standards, best practices, and development processes for your team(s) 

• Identify and resolve technical debt/risks while balancing feature development 

• Drive adoption of relevant, up-to-date technologies, practices, and tools in modern software development lifecycle 

• Lead/Guide Scrum ceremonies, providing technical/product context and removing blockers 

[What we are looking for] 

Background 

• Minimum 15 years of software engineering experience building reasonably large high-availability systems at scale 
• Master's graduate in Computer Science with hands-on experience in data-driven systems and a strong foundation in algorithms, machine learning, and software engineering. 
• Proven track record of leading & delivering technically complex products 
• Strong experience in modern full-stack web application technologies; experience in modern front-end engineering on Next.Js/React.js/Nuxt/Vue.js and Java/TypeScript/Node.js/Golang on the backend is preferred 
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL) and data modeling 
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure and/or GCP 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.) 
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools 
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools, especially the ELK stack, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk 
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders 
• Bonus: Led legacy system modernization projects, including transitioning legacy systems to modern platforms 
• Bonus: Experience with / willing to pick up Infra as Code (eg. Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible)
