What you will do:

The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for technical support – primarily customer quotations and business development case studies for various composite applications. About You

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in complex systems and hardware design, including integrated circuits and high‑performance electronic platforms such as servers, mobile devices, or similar systems.
• Deep technical expertise in both digital and analog circuit design, with the ability to make sound architecture and design trade‑offs.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proven track record of resolving complex system‑level issues.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, including experience in mentoring, guiding, and influencing engineering teams.
• Solid knowledge of, and strong interest in, high‑speed design, including signal integrity challenges and power distribution techniques.
• Hands‑on experience in the measurement, testing, and characterization of high‑speed digital signals.
• Extensive board‑level design experience using Cadence CAD tools such as OrCAD and Allegro.

Position Overview 

In this role, you will be working as part of a closely knit product engineering team that develops key components that help products integrate with Autodesk’s Identity and Authorization solution. You will be building and enhancing a core component that is being used by 40+ Autodesk products across Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. You will work with multiple groups of talented engineers across the globe to help them integrate the component across Autodesk Desktop Product offering 

Responsibilities 

• Enhance and maintain the Identity Desktop SDK components across windows, Linux and mac platforms 

• Research, Design and Implement the next gen Identity Desktop SDK to support forward looking features of the Autodesk Identity and Access Management Systems. 

• Design and implement the product as per the specifications. 

• Document key product decisions, design details and developer integration requirements in internal wikis 

• Be responsible for the overall Quality of the SDK 

• Write unit tests, integration tests and fix bugs to maintain the quality of the deliverable. 

• Work with the internal teams to help integrate the SDK. 

 Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. 

• 10+ years of professional experience in commercial cross platform desktop software development and delivery for Linux, mac and windows. 

• Expertise in object-oriented design and implementation. 

• Strong experience in building high quality desktop applications using C++ 

• In-depth knowledge of latest C++ standards - C++17, C++11 

• Knowledge of Python, CI/CD pipeline, testing frameworks

• Strong understanding of desktop security concepts 

• Exposure to native network and crypto libraries across Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. 

• Proficient in Inter Process communication (IPC), multi-threaded application development  

• Experience in building software using agile software development processes. 

• Experience in building resilient and fault tolerant code  

• Experience in using Boost library 

• Extensive understanding of Software design patterns  

 Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in building products or services with large enterprise or global customers and the desire for continuous learning and growth 

• You are enthusiastic and creative with the ability to inspire, influence and encourage others, in both relationships with internal customers and peers 

• Ability to work collaboratively with a large group of engineers / product managers external to the team to help them integrate the components in their products.

Job Description

• Develop and create 2D and 3D piping layouts, plans, isometrics, ensure that piping designs are optimized for efficiency, ease of maintenance, and compliance with project and industry standards
• Create detailed piping layouts and general arrangements for the plant, ensuring that pipe routing minimizes interference with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) and optimizes space utilization
• Collaborate with stress engineers to ensure pipe routing and support arrangements can handle thermal expansion, seismic loads, and pressure differential
• Prepare detailed piping design deliverables, including pipe routing layouts, support details, isometric drawings, and bill of materials (BOM). Ensure designs comply with all relevant standards
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, civil, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of piping designs with other plant systems
• Work closely with the procurement team to prepare piping material specifications, liaise with suppliers for quotation and support vendor evaluations for piping components (valves, flanges, supports, etc.)
• Review piping installation drawings and provide feedback for improvement to ensure constructability
• Conduct site visits as needed to verify piping installations are in accordance with the approved designs

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• For Degree holder, minimum 5 years of experience in piping design. For Diploma holder, minimum 8 years of experience is required. For senior position, candidate must have at least 10 years of experience
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects
• Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization
• In-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, PUB regulations)
• Must have advanced computer literacy in commonly usedsoftware applications such as Navisworks, Bentley View, AutoCAD, piping design & drafting tools and MS Office
• Experience in process plant (such as wastewater treatment plant, sludge incineration plant, etc.) is preferred
