• Hands-on experience in designing mixed signal circuits including ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, Filters, Bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and other analog circuits.
• Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.
• Ability to apply innovative solutions to resolve complex issues.
• History of identifying and developing best practices that deliver high-quality and effective solutions.
• Strong knowledge on the deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
• Knowledge and experience on low power and high-speed design techniques.

• Working with global teams across Argentina, Singapore, the U.S., and Europe, you will run simulations and verifications using Cadence Virtuoso, collaborating closely with the designer to refine and debug iteratively until the design meets specifications. Project durations vary from a few months to a year and a half with flexibility to switch based on changing priorities is appreciated

As a test development engineer in the Operations business group, you will test features on the silicon semiconductor chips Marvell produces for internal and external customers. You will make sure we don’t ship out any underperforming units. You’ll work closely with design to make sure their chip features are testable and that the results meet the customer’s specifications. You may even have to write new code or develop new testing strategies when our chips outpace the capabilities of current testing equipment.

What You Can Expect
In this on-site environment in Singapore, you will work under the direction of a mentor and team lead to verify code, verify the test program across a large number of individual parts, and flag any parts giving unexpected results that should be investigated further. You’ll replicate the work on the test bench environment and do a correlation exercise with the design and verification teams to determine a root cause of any unexpected behavior.

This team uses Python, Visual Basic, and C for various aspects of test development as well as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Teradyne Ultraflex tester and Advantest 93K testers. This team owns all test engineering activities related to the new product introduction (NPI) plan including new silicon bring-up, release of sampling test programs, release of qualification and characterization test programs, release of production test programs, and optimization of test time and yield.

You’ll work very closely with members of your own team as well as people from different design groups, marketing, program management, quality assurance, and other operations teams to move projects forward successfully.

• Own verification of major blocks or entire broadband ICs.
• Develop and implement mixed signal verification (DV) plans for broadband amplifiers based on design architecture and specifications.

• Design and develop verification testbenches using industry-standard verification languages and methodologies.
• Review and analyze verification results and provide feedback to design teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation of verification plans, test results, and design changes.
• Collaborate with design and layout teams to identify and resolve design issues.
• Work with various technologies and process nodes, including SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS.

What you will need to be successful in this role

• BS EE/MSc (preferred) in the areas of high-performance analog/mixed-signal design and verification principles.

• Experience in an analog IC design or verification role.

• Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design and verification principles.

• Solid experience with EDA CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Assembler, Spectre and AMS simulators.

• Understanding of fundamentals, including:

• Detailed transistor level design

• Control/Feedback loop stability analysis.

• AGC loop design

• High precision analog circuits (including linear regulators, current sensors, bandgaps, DAC, and ADC)

• RF/High-Speed broadband techniques

• Project experience using different technologies (SiGe BiCMOS is a plus).

• Good programming skills and can write efficient programs or scripts in Python, Verilog/Verilog-A is a plus.
