Demonstrates in-depth knowledge in assigned area and is an experienced contributor. As partof the Global Fee Consulting team is responsible for all aspects of investment management fees and pricing and provides fee consulting expertise globally toall areas of the business. With the team, is responsible for fee-related information in marketing materials, new business books, contracts, and investment management agreements, and serves as an internal and external client contact for fees, billing, and pricing.
Primary responsibilities/ essential functions:
- Develops hypothetical fee calculations, proformas and comprehensive marketing materials related to fees.
Creates, utilizes and reviews complex spreadsheets to illustrate investment management fee structures and options to prospective and existing clients.
Considers all CGC mandates, investment vehicles and investment management fees across all areas of the business to recommend potential options to sales staff and provide superior service to clients while ensuring positive economic impact toCGC.
Identifies differences associated with CGC global/ regional business models, considering legal implications and mitigating conflicts and risks.
Provides guidance and recommendations to other functional groups.
Advises Global Institutional Operations Fee Services on complex fee structures relating to account set-ups, amendments or terminations toensure accurate application of CGC fee policies.
Approves fee related to language such as fee schedules, compensation language and most favored nations language contained within contracts.
Provides cross-regional (Americas, Europe, Asia) guidance and recommendations to internal (Marketing Legal, Investment Group) and external clients. Fully understands and considers regional and product differences when making recommendations and decisions.
Coaches associates and peers on technical performance issues.
Serves assubject matter expert on global Investment Management fees.
Educates prospective and existing clients as well as internal staff about based fee arrangements. Provides multiple fee options where possible, considering the needs of the client as well as company and legal considerations.
Ensures that clients understand the application and calculation of the fee structures while maintaining compliance with fee policies.
Negotiates non-standard fee arrangements providing prospective and existing clients multiple-fed options while keeping the needs of clients and CGC’s best interest in mind.
Leads projectsand initiatives.
Creates financial, sensitivity, and risk models to assess and communicate impact of proposed changes to all appropriate parties for complex revenue and fee related projects, as well as broader initiatives.
Identifies issues and new opportunities, develops and prepares detailed analyses, presents findings and recommends courses of action to senior business leaders and various management committees.
Performs and directs competitive research to benchmark current fee structures tomarket. Identifies anomalies or trends on a regional or global scale to validate or propose changes as necessary.
Works with the company Treasurer, regional business committees, and other senior business leaders on special projects as necessary.
Develop new and amends existing fee structures.
Creates,develops, and recommends new fee structures as new offerings are rolled out, aswell as reassesses current fee structures and recommends different options when pricing change is needed.
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Business& Technical Skills:
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of Investment Management fees and pricing.
Demonstrates and apply an in-depth knowledge of the investment management industry as it relates to mandates, investment vehicle structures, investment management fees,third party costs, competitive landscape, reporting and regulatoryenvironment.
Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge in differing CG business models, current and possible future policies, practices,trends, technology and information affecting the department/ businessarea.
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of moderate complexity.
Demonstrates ability to analyze moderately complex data and information.
Demonstrates ability to lead and manage projects within a team.
Demonstrates the ability to identify, assess, respond to and escalate risks or potential risks encountered through day-to-day activities.
Comfortably manipulating large amounts of moderately complex data in tools such as Microsoft Excel with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
