We are seeking a talented and experienced robotics scientist to join our team in advancing Embodied AI for robotics, with a strong focus on Learning from Demonstration for contact-rich manipulation and intelligent skill acquisition. The successful candidate will conduct applied R&D to develop, implement, and validate robot learning algorithms integrating motion, force/torque, and multimodal perception for real-world industrial applications. This role involves designing experimental setups, collecting and analysing demonstration data, translating research outcomes into functional prototypes, and contributing to the strategic development of Embodied AI and humanoid robotics capabilities, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, technical excellence, and impactful deployment in advanced manufacturing environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct applied R&D in Embodied AI for robotics, focusing on Learning from Demonstration (LfD) for contact-rich manipulation and skill acquisition.

Job Requirements

• PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in robot learning, Embodied AI, Learning from Demonstration, or related AI-driven robotics techniques.
• At least 5 years of experience
• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++
• Hands-on experience with ROS2, simulation environments (e.g. Isaac Sim), and robotic hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with industrial automation or manufacturing environments is an advantage.

As an Embodied AI Engineer, you will develop next‑generation robotic intelligence that tightly integrates AI‑driven perception, planning, and behaviour with real‑world robot embodiment. You will contribute to both research-driven and deployment-driven development across ROS 2, advanced simulation environments, and industrial robotic platforms.You will support applied R&D to develop, implement, and test robot learning algorithms that integrate motion planning, force/torque sensing, and multimodal perception. The role includes hands-on work in designing experiments, analysing results, building prototypes, and contributing to practical robotics solutions for advanced manufacturing. • Strong foundational knowledge in robotics fundamentals, including kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control.​
• Interest or exposure to robot learning, Learning from Demonstration, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or Embodied AI concepts.​
• Proficiency in programming, especially Python and/or C++ ​
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in ROS/ROS2, simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim), and robotic hardware platforms.​
• Basic familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is advantageous.​
• Understanding of sensors (vision, force/torque) and perception techniques is a plus.​
• Experience or interest in industrial automation, manufacturing environments, or contact-rich manipulation is highly desirable.​

Responsibilities:

·       Lead the research and development of novel AI architectures that fuse vision data with temporal manufacturing process data to predict final product quality.

·       Develop advanced methodologies for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), moving beyond correlation to establish causal links between process variables and inspection outcomes.

·       Design and implement Knowledge Graphs and semantic reasoning layers that integrate domain expertise with LLMs/VLMs to automate "final sentencing" and provide explainable AI (XAI) insights.

·       Architect and fine-tune state-of-the-art multimodal models to enable text-prompt able vision inspection and contextual decision-making.

·       Pioneer the use of Temporal Transformers or Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) to analyze complex manufacturing time-series data for anomaly detection and yield prediction.

·       Lead research into state-of-the-art optimization techniques, including Quantization-Aware Training (QAT), Pruning, Knowledge Distillation, and Neural Architecture Search (NAS) to minimize latency.

·       Design and implement scalable AI deployment architectures that can handle high-throughput data streams from multiple high-resolution cameras and process sensors simultaneously.
