About the role

We are a project team comprising researchers from SingHealth, A*STAR, and Synapxe, developing a product to enhance the management and treatment of patients with lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs)—a condition that accounts for nearly 489 million cases globally and is a major contributor to inappropriate antibiotic use in Singapore. 

Over 40% of prescriptions for LRTIs are unnecessary, contributing to antimicrobial resistance (AMR)—a top global health threat. Traditional stewardship programs are expert-dependent and resource-intensive, limiting scalability.

To overcome these challenges, we are building an AI-powered Large Language Model platform that uses routinely collected clinical data to help clinicians identify cases that do not require antibiotics, thereby reducing unnecessary prescriptions.

Role:

As a Research Officer, you will play a central role by integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) for intelligent processing of unstructured clinical text—such as physician notes, discharge summaries, and radiology reports. Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operations, maintenance, engineering aspects of Instrumentation & Control (ELV) systems and insfrastructure.

Qualifications and work experiences

To strengthen national capabilities, we are advancing AI-enabled localized tropical weather prediction under projects secured through the Aviation Meteorological Programme (AMP) and Weather Science Research Programme (WSRP).

We are seeking highly motivated Research Scientists and Engineers to advance our AI-enabled weather intelligence research. The role focuses on conducting cutting-edge, data-driven research on tropical convective hazard prediction using multi-modal datasets from weather observation systems and Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models. Successful candidate will work with a team of data scientists and engineers to develop, implement, and evaluate advanced machine learning and deep learning models for multi-source, multi-scale weather forecasting, leveraging state-of-the-art AI techniques to improve the accuracy and spatio-temporal resolution of hazardous weather predictions such as heavy precipitation, strong winds, and lightning. Beyond methodological innovation, you will also play a key role in translating research breakthroughs into operationally deployable solutions, working in a multi-disciplinary team comprising atmospheric scientists and operational stakeholders.

To strengthen national capabilities in airport systems research, we are advancing the TAM and CONOPS studies under collaborative initiatives with aviation stakeholders. These efforts aim to develop next-generation operational frameworks that integrate airport stakeholders, optimise resource allocation, and improve situational awareness and decision-making across the airport ecosystem.

We are seeking highly motivated Research Scientists to conduct cutting-edge research in airport operations, TAM, and CONOPS development. The role focuses on analysing complex airport operational processes, developing data-driven models, and designing future airport operational concepts to enhance efficiency, resilience, and collaboration among stakeholders, including air traffic management, airlines, ground handlers, and airport operators.

Successful candidates will work within a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to develop advanced operational models, simulation tools, and optimisation frameworks that support airport-wide decision making.
