Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Networking
• Reaching out to existing adviser network to bring in qualified and productive advisers to the Company
• Interview candidates referred by the Business Development Managers for the above purpose
2. Business Development Leadership & Strategy
• Lead and develop the Business Development function to support agency growth and productivity improvement.
• Establish structured engagement frameworks with T2/T3 managers to drive consistent business performance and professional conduct.
• Translate organisational growth priorities into practical and executable initiatives for agency adoption.
• Monitor adoption and effectiveness of BD initiatives and refine execution approaches as required.
3. Manager Engagement & Field Execution Oversight
• Engage, influence & support managers in driving sustainable production growth through structured activity and pipeline management.
• Drive professionalism and responsible sales behaviours across managers and representatives.
• Identify early signals relating to productivity, conduct, or execution risks and work with relevant functions to correct them.
• Provide regular feedback to management on field execution effectiveness and emerging risks.
• Partner Training & Products teams to address behavioural and competency gaps observed in the field.
4. Campaign, Events & Marketing Execution Oversight
• Oversee execution of campaigns, events and marketing initiatives to ensure effective field adoption.
• Ensure initiatives align with governance standards and avoid inappropriate or aggressive sales positioning.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
• Work closely with various functional heads & key stakeholders to align business initiatives with competency and advisory standards.
• Provide management reporting on agency engagement, execution discipline, and initiative effectiveness.
• Support transformation and improvement efforts relating to distribution professionalism and standards uplift.
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in life insurance or financial advisory distribution, with significant exposure to agency or channel management.
• Proven track record in engaging and influencing agency leaders to drive performance and behavioural improvements.
• Strong understanding of activity management and agency productivity drivers.
• Good appreciation of regulatory and compliance expectations within advisory or insurance distribution environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.
