As the Senior Manager, Venue Sales & Event Management at ALPHA GALAXY SDN. BHD., you will lead the sales, business development, event coordination and operational management of our 21,000 sq ft multi-purpose event venue in Puncak Alam Selangor. This role is responsible for developing the venue as a revenue-generating business by driving event bookings, managing client relationships, overseeing event execution, coordinating vendors and internal support teams, and ensuring a professional venue experience for corporate, private and community events.

What you’ll be doing

1. Develop and implement venue sales and business development strategies to drive event bookings, rental revenue and venue utilisation.

3. Manage enquiries, site visits, proposals, quotations, negotiations and booking conversions.

• Coordinate with outsourced accounting team, auditors, tax agents, and banks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and financial requirements.
• Supervise HR operations including recruitment, payroll coordination, employee records, and HR administration.
• Handle staff performance management and employee relations matters.
• Oversee office administration, company documentation, licenses, and corporate support functions.
• Lead and supervise finance, HR, and administrative staff.
• Improve internal processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Support management with reporting, budgeting, and operational coordination.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resource, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in finance and administration management.
• Experience in engineering, construction, or project-based industries is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of finance operations, HR administration, and office management.
• Familiar with Malaysian statutory and employment regulations.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
• Able to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing SME corporate support functions.
• Exposure to project-based business operations.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Familiarity with Auto count or similar accounting systems.

Job Description

■Office Operation & General Affairs

-Organize day-to-day office operation, equipment procurement, repair & maintenance, service contract etc.

-Arrange flights/hotels for business trips

-Address any ad-hoc duty as assigned by CEO

■Human Resources

-Assist recruitment activities/new staff onboarding

-Address employee rules, welfare and its related matters

-Maintain HR data including payroll, personal data, employment contract, attendance record such as overtime/ absence/sick leave/annual leave etc. and liaise with 3rd party service vendor

■Accounting

-Support the 3rd party vendor with monthly accounting closing such as sales record, payment, expense claim, invoice management etc.

■Logistics Coordination

-Coordinate import operations including shipment scheduling, inventory tracking, vendor communication, and material preparation to ensure smooth business and event execution.

■Offline Fan Event Coordination

-Assist planning & coordinating offline fan events, including venue arrangements, stakeholder coordination, event setup etc. to deliver engaging community experiences.

■MUST TO HAVE:

-More than 8 years of working experience in the back-office set-up such as HR, accounting, general affairs

-Extensive knowledge in logistics/import coordination is a strong asset

-More than 5 years of team management experience

-Fluency in English is a MUST

Responsibilities:

• Manage various aspects of insolvency administration assignments such as liquidation, receivership and corporate voluntary arrangements. .
• Prepare proposals, presentations and reports. .
• Liaise with external parties such as bankers, solicitors, creditors, debtors, directors and statutory bodies.
• Conduct financial reviews and participate in negotiations.
• Convene and attend meetings with various stakeholders in the normal conduct of a receivership and/or liquidation administration.
• Develop and implement engagement planning, ensuring adherence to timelines.
• Review work performed by Associates/Senior Consultants, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and proposal presentations.

Requirements:

• Hold a Degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking/Law or professional qualifications in ICAEW/ACCA/ CPA Australia /MICPA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Great interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
• Good analytical skills and be able to work independently with the projects assigned.
• Strong organisational skills and time management.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, develop good relationships with senior management, and operate well within a team environment.
