Key Responsibilities

1. Tactical Forecasting &Planning

As a Private Bank APAC Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing control framework, promoting a proactive risk and control culture, and driving strategic priorities across APAC and IPB regions. You will partner with senior stakeholders, lead risk identification and assessment, and ensure operational excellence in a dynamic global environment.

Job Responsibilities

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Minimum 8 of experience in financial services in controls, business management/COO, audit, risk management, or compliance.

• Strong understanding of private banking business, products, services, and regulatory/control requirements.

• Experience in process improvement or risk management.

• Demonstrated success in partnering with multiple stakeholders and working across cross-functional teams.

• Strong results orientation with the ability to influence and drive change and best practices.

• Excellent communication skills, able to interface globally with all levels of the organization.

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Economics

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support statutory audits and preparation of financial statements, liaising with auditors
• Coordinate GST and corporate tax filings with tax agents
• Participate in monthly stock-taking and assist with inventory management
• Handle banking-related transactions and day-to-day financial activities
• Review and support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Assist with monthly financial closing and prepare management reports
• Prepare invoices, debit notes, and journal entries for rebates, claims, and miscellaneous charges
• Manage collections, receipt application, and debtor ageing to maintain current accounts
• Resolve customer billing queries, payment discrepancies, and disputes
• Support daily cash reporting and monitoring
• Prepare and submit government statistical reports as required
• Perform ad-hoc accounting or finance tasks as assigned

Must be familiar with:

• Hands-on involvement in high-volume AP/AR and operational accounting activities
• Experience managing complex accounting treatments and non-routine transactions
• Exposure to detailed tax/GST matters (e.g. ECI, ACAP, de minimis rule)
• Experience supporting internal reviews with comprehensive working papers
• Experience handling Major Exporter Scheme (MES) (IRAS/SG Customs)
