About the Role

We are representing our client in search for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our growing team in Singapore. This role will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations across Singapore and overseas entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, group accounting policies, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts for Singapore and overseas entities, including expense claim reviews, journal entry preparation and review, month-end closing, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee accounting activities for overseas entities and review the quality and accuracy of work performed by outsourced accounting service providers.
• Coordinate and support tax filing and compliance matters in Singapore and overseas jurisdictions.
• Maintain day-to-day relationships with local banks, including bank reconciliations, account opening support, KYC documentation, and banking correspondence.
• Liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual statutory audits, including the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and management explanations.
• Support group management reporting, financial analysis, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with finance operations and accounting reviews for Singapore and other business entities.
• Collaborate closely with headquarters to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information in accordance with group accounting policies and reporting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and Singapore tax regulations.
• Familiarity with U.S. or Hong Kong tax regulations will be an advantage.
• Singapore CA qualification (completed or in progress), AICPA, HKICPA, or equivalent professional certifications are preferred.

Role Overview

The Finance Manager will support financial strategy, business operations, and regional expansion initiatives. This is not a traditional accounting role. Board and Office Administration

• Maintenance of OHC's facilities, including workspaces, equipment and supplies. Ensure a clean and organized working environment for staff, locums and clients.

Job Requirements

• Candidate should possess at least a Degree in Business Management and / or Finance discipline.

Transaction Processing

• Manage full lifecycle of LCs, SBLCs, guarantees, and documentary collections (issuance, advising, confirmation, amendment, transfer, claims, and discharge)

• Execute cross-border and local remittances via SWIFT MT/MX formats; handle Nostro/Vostro settlements, interest/fee calculation, and booking

Document Examination

• Review documents against UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522, and LC terms
• Verify Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, insurance, and certificates for completeness and consistency

Compliance, Risk & Control

• Conduct sanctions, AML, and anti-financial crime screening using tools like World-Check One
• Review credit limits, facility validity, and collateral; flag high-risk and suspicious transactions
• Comply with MAS regulations, OFAC/UN/EU sanctions, and internal controls; follow Maker/Checker workflows and maintain audit trails

SWIFT & System Operations

Customer & Stakeholder Support

Background

A trading company is in the process of implementing a new SAP S/4HANA–based ERP system, scheduled to go live in early February. As part of this transformation, the Philippines entity is addressing challenges related to statutory tax reporting to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Currently, there are issues with extracting accounting data from a legacy system and uploading it into SAP Business One due to errors in an existing uploader (UL) tool. In parallel, a new uploader solution aligned with the upcoming SAP S/4HANA ERP system needs to be designed and implemented.

To support both immediate issue resolution and future‑ready solution development, an experienced consultant is required to work closely with business users, local development partners, and the global ERP implementation team.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for both current‑state stabilization and future solution delivery, including:

• Conduct current-state analysis of the UL tool and organize business/system requirements for the enhancement.
• Lead requirement definition and development scheduling with the local development vendor, DynamIQ.
• Communicate daily with local users (Accounting/Finance), DynamIQ, and provide reporting to the GM (Japanese expat).

• Coordinate and support due diligence activities across financial, commercial, legal, tax, operational, and technical workstreams
• Assist in managing external advisors including investment banks, consultants, legal counsel, and accounting firms
• Support transaction execution activities including data room management, tracking of action items, and coordination across internal stakeholders
• Support post-transaction integration and synergy tracking where applicable

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Engineering
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or corporate strategy preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good financial and commercial acumen
• Familiarity with financial modelling and valuation methodologies
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver under tight timelines

Key Responsibilities:

Group Reporting & Insurance Accounting:

• Group Reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of quarterly group consolidation reporting packages
