About the Job

We are seeking a senior, elite-level Murex Front Office Lead to serve as the core Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an enterprise-wide corporate banking transformation programme. In this highly critical leadership role, you will take complete end-to-end ownership of the analysis, functional design, and delivery of the Murex MX.3 Front Office platform.

You will be embedded within a high-profile strategic upgrade initiative—encompassing platform version uplifts, new module onboarding (including EQA and OSP Excess), and the creation of unified reconciliation and automated regression frameworks. Acting as the vital nexus between Front Office traders, sales desks, and technical delivery engineering squads, you will drive pricing configurations, booking workflows, and Straight-Through Processing (STP) alignment across all primary capital market asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Architecture & Requirement Design

• Asset Class Scoping: Lead front-office functional analysis across a comprehensive cross-asset landscape including FX (Spot/Forward/Options), Money Markets (MM), Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), Equity Derivatives (EQD), Credit Derivatives, Commodities, and Fixed Income.

• Trader Workshops: Manage structured scoping workshops with Front Office business users, quantitative structurers, sales stakes, and head traders to translate complex trading needs into concrete platform specifications.

• Gap & Data Analysis: Audit production trade populations, historical market datasets, and legacy test scripts to establish functional baselines and identify system configuration gaps.

• Blueprint Engineering: Translate business requirements into exhaustive Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration blueprints, and granular functional specifications natively mapped to MX.3 capabilities.

Platform Configuration & Transformation Delivery

• Model Configuration: Design and configure complex pricing models, financial instrument parameters, and trade capture behaviors inside the MX.3 Front Office engine.

• STP Optimization: Partner with integration and back-office squads to architect Straight-Through Processing (STP) solutions for upstream/downstream distribution and lightning-fast trade execution workflows.

• Upgrade & Migration Management: Steer Murex platform version upgrades, overseeing report modifications, validation framework configurations, and multi-asset regression analyses.

• Environment Orchestration: Oversee technical configuration promotions, interface touchpoints, and data migration mappings across the entire Front Office architecture track.

Strategic Stakeholder Advisory & Quality Assurance

• Trusted Advisory: Act as a core strategic consultant to senior banking and IT leaders, articulating the trade-offs, risks, and benefits of alternative technical Murex architecture options.

• Defect Resolution: Perform robust functional validation testing (SIT/UAT) during formal platform release cycles and troubleshoot multi-workstream issues across P&L simulation, Market Data, and Product Control domains.

Skills & Experience Required

Must-Have Skills (Mandatory for Skills Matching)

• Murex MX.3 Experience: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Front Office BA, System Analyst, or Functional Consultant specifically navigating enterprise Murex MX.3 banking transformations.

• Front Office Module Mastery: Proven expert-level competency configuring trade capture, pricing models, instrument setups, and transaction workflows within the MX.3 FO module.

• Cross-Asset Domain Expertise: Deep, verifiable functional knowledge of FX, Money Markets, and Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, CCS).

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Perform various levels of functional testing for assigned deliverables, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Contribute to and participate in formal release cycles, ensuring functional acceptance criteria are met prior to production deployment.
• Assist in resolving issues across Front Office, P&L, Market Data, and trade booking domains raised during testing or post-deployment production support phases.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Front Office Business Analyst, System Analyst, or Functional Consultant on Murex MX.3 programmes within corporate or investment banking.
• Mandatory hands-on expertise in the Murex MX.3 Front Office module — including trade capture configuration, pricing model setup, workflow design, and instrument setup across multiple asset classes.
• Very strong exposure to all major asset classes: FX Spot/Forward/Options, Money Markets, Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, CCS), Equity Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Commodities, and Fixed Income.
• Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office tiers within a capital markets context.
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and validating functional requirements and writing formal specifications (BRDs, FDDs, FSDs) for MX.3 FO scope.
• Hands-on experience as a System Analyst in a Product Control function is a strong advantage.
• Experience on Murex platform upgrade or migration projects (e.g. version 3.1.42.x to 3.1.6x.x) including reconciliation and report development is advantageous.
• Experience managing Murex Environment Management (configuration promotion across DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD environments) is an advantage.
• Proven track record of client servicing in a consulting or system integrator capacity, with the ability to understand customer needs and build effective working relationships.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree is an advantage but not mandatory where extensive industry experience is demonstrated.

Technical & Domain Skills:

• Deep functional knowledge of Murex MX.3 FO module components: instrument setup, pricing configuration, trade workflow, limit management, and P&L simulation.
• Solid experience in gathering and writing requirements and functional specifications in a structured methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Strong time management and demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills in complex multi-workstream programme environments.
• Understanding of Murex MX.3 data model, MxML messaging, and cross-module dependencies (FO → MO → BO → Finance) is beneficial.
