Regional Headquarters in South East Asia - Samsung (Device Solutions) team in Singapore is seeking a talented & committed and versatile professional to join the South East Asia (SEA) Business Management and Support team. This individual contributor role will support the finance function by efficiently processing staff expense claims and vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and assist in the month‑end closing process. Working closely with the Shared Services team, this role helps maintain strong vendor relationships, uphold internal controls and provide reliable financial data for decision‑making

JOB PURPOSE

Incumbent will support the finance function by efficiently processing staff expense claims, perform treasury function related work and contributing to the month end closing process. Working closely with internal stakeholders and shared service team, this role helps to uphold internal controls and provide reliable financial data for decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Process Employee

·        Work closely with Shared Service Team, review and process staff claims in accordance with company’s policy.

·        Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims submission and compliance.

·        Updating of staff claims policy via online platform from time to time when needed.

Treasury Function           

·        Work closely with Regional Treasury Centre, perform weekly planning for forex conversion and hedging.

·        Assist in preparation of Cash flow Forecast Report (Daily/Monthly)

·        Assist in preparation of monthly treasury report and ad-hoc documentation.

·        Assist in bi-yearly Treasury Health Check

·        Prepare documentation required by RTC from time to time

Month-End Closing

·        Prepare and post journal entries related to expenses, accruals and other transactions.

·        Assist in preparing month-end reports and variance analyses for management review.

·        Ensure all closing checklists are completed accurately and on time.

Account Receivable Support

·        Work with Share service team, prepare AR-related tasks, such as apply customer payments, sending SOA to customer on daily basis.

·        Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts

·        Perform AR balance reconciliation

Audit and Tax support

·        Assist to respond to auditor inquiries and provide supporting documents.

·        Work closely with tax team and provide supports from time to time.

Ad-hoc Tasks

·        Undertaking other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

Diploma in finance/accounting, or equivalent

At least 3 years relevant experience.

Positive attitude and Good Team Player

Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills

Skills &Competencies required for the Role

Knowledge of SAP system is a plus

Able to work under pressure to meet tight date lines

Operations

• Manage end-to-end operational processes for mobile phone trading activities, including order processing, fulfillment, and delivery coordination
• Liaise with suppliers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions
• Monitor and track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of orders
• Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels and accurate reconciliation
• Prepare and verify operational documents such as purchase orders, sales orders, invoices, and delivery notes
• Coordinate closely with logistics partners and warehouses to ensure efficient handling and movement of goods
• Support the trading team in executing deals by ensuring operational readiness and documentation accuracy

Accounts Receivable Management

• Prepare and post accounts receivable invoices

Management Accounting

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
• Organise and participate in monthly management meetings to review financial performance
• Prepare year-end forecasted Profit & Loss statements
• To source for an accounting system to ensure better financing reporting

Audit, Tax & Compliance

• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during statutory audits
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting deadlines

Treasury & Cashflow Management

• Monitor and manage companies cashflow daily
• Maintain loan schedules, ensuring facilities are within approved limits and repayments are made on a timely basis
• Support trade financing matters where applicable

Accounts / Finance

· Maintain full sets of accounts for all company entities

· Perform bookkeeping and month-end bank and loan reconciliations

· Prepare supplier and office expense payments

· Follow up on customer collections

· Liaise with auditors and company secretaries

· Prepare and submit quarterly GST filings for entities

· Prepare financial reports for director sign-off

· Track monthly freight invoices and verify any incorrect charges  

· Prepare quarterly commission calculations (for sales)

· Monitor incoming shipments and allocate payments accordingly (advance payments vs invoices), with weekly checks to ensure payments are accurate  

HR-Related Matters

· Prepare monthly payroll and staff claim payments

· Submit required documents to government agencies (e.g. Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS)

Administrative

· Handle general administrative duties, including completing and submitting required forms/documents for various entities (e.g. bank forms, supplier documents)
