• Perform SCADA system engineering, configuration, testing, commissioning, and handover activities for electrical infrastructure, power supply, and automation projects.
• Support SCADA integration with substations, switchgear systems, transformers, protection relays, PLCs, RTUs, IEDs, and other electrical equipment.
• Configure and verify SCADA displays, alarms, trends, control functions, communication interfaces, and monitoring systems according to project specifications.
• Review technical drawings, control schematics, single line diagrams (SLD), I/O lists, and system specifications.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), functional testing, and commissioning activities.
• Perform site verification of signals, alarms, status indications, control commands, interlocks, and communication links.
• Support commissioning activities for electrical systems including 22kV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and substation automation systems.
• Troubleshoot SCADA communication issues, data mapping errors, system alarms, and operational faults.
• Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure SCADA installation and testing works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation including test procedures, test records, inspection reports, progress reports, certificates, and client submissions.
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are incorporated into SCADA installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Support project handover activities including preparation of as-built documents, O&M manuals, and technical reports.
• Ensure commissioning acceptance criteria meet design requirements, contractual specifications, and client expectations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project / Commissioning Manager.

About the Role

Join our team as a CQV (Commissioning, Qualification & Validation) Engineer, supporting the start-up and validation of state-of-the-art pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with project, engineering, and quality teams to ensure all systems meet GMP compliance and are ready for commercial production.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) activities for pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing facilities, utilities, and process equipment.
• Develop and review CQV protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and reports in compliance with GMP, GAMP 5, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and quality teams to ensure timely CQV execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CQV-related issues during project execution.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA, PIC/S) and local health authority guidelines.
• Support FAT, SAT, and risk assessments for new or modified systems.
• Provide technical input during design, construction, and operational readiness stages.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in commissioning/qualification/validation in pharmaceutical or biotech industries (senior roles may require 5+ years).
• Familiar with GMP, GAMP 5, ISPE Baseline Guides, and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Hands-on experience with utilities (e.g., WFI, clean steam, HVAC), process equipment, or cleanroom systems preferred.
• Good communication and project coordination skills.

Competency Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field
• Familiarity with semi-conductor/construction industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedure (PQR/WPS) will be an added advantage
• Multi-tasking team player with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
