MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The principal objective of this position is to carry out routine tasks related to quality control (QC) of raw materials and finished products to uphold quality standard of the company.
This person will need to prioritize urgencies accordingly and coordinate with relevant departments and/or parties.
FUNCTIONS:
· Perform routine QC testing, which includes organoleptic, physical-chemical and chromatographic analyses, and timely update of quality inspection results to meet manufacturing and operational timeline.
· Interpret and evaluate analysis results against established standards and specifications for product releases and/or rejections.
· Assist in the investigations for quality non-conformances.
· Responsible for accurate entry of quality data and information.
· Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory and sample retention room.
· Ensure the smooth operations of the laboratory with periodic checks and in-house maintenance of laboratory instruments/equipment.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimally a diploma in science related field(s), preferably chemistry or perfumery.
· Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a laboratory, preferably in a quality control department. Knowledge with SAP and/or hands-on experience with gas chromatography is preferred.
· Related experiences in a fragrance or flavour industry will also be considered. A basic olfactory test will be carried out.
