Plant Microbiologist

Responsibilities / Activities

Quality, Testing & Laboratory Systems

• Responsible for maintaining a full understanding and complying with Colgate Quality Micro Standard governing the laboratory system.
• Develop and implement microbiological sampling and testing programs for water, raw materials, WIP, environmental samples and finished goods in the facility based on Colgate Quality Standard and conform to the specifications prior to release.
• Ensure all testing and releasing is performed according to corporate methods, policy and adheres to specification. This includes the set up and administration of a laboratory quality assurance system that covers method and material qualification as well as equipment Installation Qualification / Operational Qualification / Performance Qualification, calibration & maintenance.
• Responsible for the design, implementation and administration of validation strategy for CIP, utilities (e.g., water) etc.
• Conduct raw materials and finished product releasing in S4 Hana system.

Safety & Compliance

• Develop and maintain safety documentation such as Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC), including keeping high-risk equipment in safe working condition and ensuring the validity of certification.
• Manage laboratory safety equipment and instructions, precautions in handling and disposing of biological materials, in accordance with local environmental regulations.
• Compliance to Colgate Biohazard Control Measure, Laboratory Safety standards and Foundational Safety Expectations.

Continuous Improvement & Investigations

• Report and lead the investigation of microbiological failures with plant operation and engineering team.
• Drive continuous improvement such as plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Cleaning and Sanitation (C&S) activities, Micro Vulnerability Assessment (MVA) including optimization activities for laboratory instruments, methods, and processes.
• Evaluate and track the trending tools of Micro Susceptibility Index (MSI), C&S Index (CSI) and laboratory KPI periodically. Proactively identify, develop and implement Control Point Monitoring (CPM) and review gaps based on the CSI, CPM, MSI and Process Validation.

Audits & Documentation

• Participate in internal audits and external audits (contract manufacturers & labs, suppliers, etc.).
• Support Internal/External Audits and ensure all non-conformances are adhered to in a timely manner.
• Interface with Global & Divisional Quality/Microbiology teams to provide input on programs, procedures and methods, and receive guidance & support on implementation of programs.
• Initiate change control documentation in the respective area prior to the execution of the changes that affect the quality of the products.
• Ensure lab documentation and records are managed, controlled, maintained and updated on a regular basis and in compliance with data integrity.

Team Leadership, Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Maintain laboratory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, developing and training to ensure consistent performance with right skill and competency.
• Develop and implement microbiology training for plant floor management and operators.
• Provide Micro Awareness training to Operator & MicroLab Analysts.

Supply Chain Administrator (Engineering & Operations)

What You Will Do (Roles & Responsibilities):

Inventory & Engineering Store Command

• Own the Spare Parts Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end spare parts inventory, including the creation and inventorization of new parts and the seamless replenishment of existing stock.
• Keep the Lines Running: Step in as the hero to assist with engineering store operations (spare part dispensing, system posting, and new part creation) during the storekeeper's absence.
• Stock Integrity: Actively assist in engineering stock counts to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.

Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management

• Drive the Purchasing Process: Issue and manage Purchase Orders (both blanket and non-blanket) for day-to-day engineering operations, keeping our Ariba tracking files perfectly updated.
• Vendor Sourcing & Negotiation: Source Request for Quotations (RFQs) and negotiate with both existing and new vendors to get the best value.
• Global Logistics: Arrange carriers and transporters for overseas spare part deliveries, tracking them from the supplier’s door to our receiving bay.
• Financial Accuracy: Execute accurate Goods Receipt (GR) processes and relentlessly track PO approvals, sending friendly reminders to approvers to prevent bottlenecks.

Compliance & Sustainability Support

• Environmental Operations: Play a key role in our sustainability efforts by conducting daily updates on our Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations and managing the replenishment of WWTP and DI chemicals.
• Regulatory Reporting: Ensure we meet government standards by submitting accurate, weekly Department of Environment (DOE) reports via the MDMR system.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner directly with Project Engineers to facilitate seamless PO issuance and project support.
• Assist our Facility Engineer with CEB (Central Electricity Board) management, handling corresponding POs and GR processes.
• Assist in finance related activities as and when required, deemed appropriate and required by the Financial Controller or Business Partner.

Who We Are Looking For (Requirements):

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience as an engineering/spare parts administrator or supply chain admin within the manufacturing industry. (FMCG/Consumer Goods manufacturing experience will give you a major advantage!)
• Education: At least a Diploma in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or any other related studies. SPM certificate holders with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience similar to that of the job description above will be considered as well.
• Communication: Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

我們正在尋找的人才（要求）：

• 經驗：2至3年製造業工程/備件管理員或供應鏈管理員的實際工作經驗。 （快速消費品/消費品製造行業經驗將是極大的優勢！）
• 教育背景：至少持有製造、供應鏈、物流、工商管理、國際商務或任何其他相關專業的文憑。持有SPM證書且擁有至少5年與上述職位說明類似的工作經驗者亦可考慮。

Perintah Stor Inventori & Kejuruteraan

• Miliki Kitaran Hayat Alat Ganti: Urus inventori alat ganti hujung ke hujung, termasuk penciptaan dan inventori alat ganti baharu dan penambahan stok sedia ada dengan lancar.
• Pastikan Barisan Berjalan: Masuk sebagai wira untuk membantu operasi stor kejuruteraan (pengeluaran alat ganti, pengeposan sistem dan penciptaan alat ganti baharu) semasa ketiadaan penjaga stor.
• Integriti Stok: Membantu secara aktif dalam kejuruteraan pengiraan stok bagi memastikan ketepatan inventori 100%.

Perolehan Strategik & Pengurusan Vendor

• Memacu Proses Pembelian: Mengeluarkan dan mengurus Pesanan Pembelian (kedua-dua pesanan menyeluruh dan bukan menyeluruh) untuk operasi kejuruteraan harian, memastikan fail penjejakan Ariba kami dikemas kini dengan sempurna.
• Pemerolehan & Rundingan Vendor: Permintaan Sumber untuk Sebut Harga (RFQ) dan berunding dengan vendor sedia ada dan baharu untuk mendapatkan nilai terbaik.
• Logistik Global: Mengatur pembawa dan pengangkut untuk penghantaran alat ganti ke luar negara, menjejaki mereka dari pintu pembekal ke ruang penerima kami.
• Ketepatan Kewangan: Laksanakan proses Resit Barang (GR) yang tepat dan sentiasa menjejaki kelulusan PO, menghantar peringatan mesra kepada pelulus untuk mengelakkan kesesakan.

Sokongan Pematuhan & Kelestarian

• Operasi Alam Sekitar: Memainkan peranan penting dalam usaha kemampanan kami dengan menjalankan kemas kini harian mengenai operasi Loji Rawatan Air Sisa (LWTP) kami dan mengurus pengisian semula bahan kimia LWTP dan DI.
• Pelaporan Kawal Selia: Pastikan kami memenuhi piawaian kerajaan dengan mengemukakan laporan mingguan Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) yang tepat melalui sistem MDMR.

Kerjasama Rentas Fungsi

• Bekerjasama secara langsung dengan Jurutera Projek untuk memudahkan pengeluaran PO dan sokongan projek yang lancar.
• Membantu Jurutera Fasiliti kami dengan pengurusan CEB (Lembaga Elektrik Pusat), mengendalikan proses PO dan GR yang sepadan.
• Membantu dalam aktiviti berkaitan kewangan apabila diperlukan, difikirkan sesuai dan dikehendaki oleh Pengawal Kewangan atau Rakan Kongsi Perniagaan.

Siapakah yang Kami Cari (Keperluan):

• Pengalaman: 2 hingga 3 tahun pengalaman secara langsung sebagai pentadbir kejuruteraan/alat ganti atau pentadbir rantaian bekalan dalam industri pembuatan. (Pengalaman pembuatan FMCG/Barangan Pengguna akan memberi anda kelebihan utama!)
• Pendidikan: Sekurang-kurangnya Diploma dalam Pembuatan, Rantaian Bekalan, Logistik, Pentadbiran Perniagaan, Perniagaan Antarabangsa atau sebarang pengajian berkaitan yang lain. Pemegang sijil SPM dengan sekurang-kurangnya 5 tahun pengalaman kerja yang berkaitan seperti dalam huraian kerja di atas juga akan dipertimbangkan.
• Komunikasi: Kemahiran yang sangat baik dalam Bahasa Inggeris dan Bahasa Malaysia bertulis dan lisan untuk berkomunikasi secara berkesan dengan vendor dan pasukan dalaman.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Product & Textile Design

• Develop original patterns, prints, motifs, and design concepts for garments, hijabs, scarves, and related textile products.
• Prepare design proposals, mock-ups, and presentation visuals for internal review and approval.
• Translate brand direction, product themes, and market trends into commercially viable designs.
• Adapt artwork and patterns into production-ready files where required.
• Work closely with management, production, and merchandising teams to ensure designs are aligned with product strategy and manufacturing requirements.

B. Branding & Creative Design

• Design creative materials for branding, campaigns, promotions, events, packaging, catalogues, and other corporate or product-related use.
• Ensure consistency in visual identity across all online and offline materials.
• Support the creation of corporate presentation materials, proposals, flyers, posters, and digital assets.

C. Marketing & Social Media Support

• Develop visual content for social media platforms, digital campaigns, and online promotions.
• Assist in planning and producing engaging content aligned with marketing objectives.
• Support basic copy ideation, campaign visuals, and content layout for social media and digital channels.
• Monitor design and content trends relevant to fashion, retail, lifestyle, and Muslimah markets where applicable.

D. AI-Enabled Workflow & Productivity

• Use AI tools, including ChatGPT and other approved tools, to improve design ideation, content generation, campaign planning, workflow efficiency, and internal productivity.
• Support the team in applying AI-assisted methods for faster turnaround of creative and marketing tasks.
• Maintain good judgment in using AI to support, not replace, originality, brand alignment, and commercial quality.

E. Coordination & Execution

• Manage multiple creative tasks and deadlines in a lean operating environment.
• Maintain organized design files, templates, and content assets.
• Coordinate revisions and feedback efficiently with relevant stakeholders.
• Undertake other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant working experience in graphic design, textile/fashion design, or related creative field.
• Proven experience in designing patterns/prints for garments, hijabs, scarves, or related products is strongly preferred.
• Experience in digital marketing or social media content creation is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and other relevant design software.
• Strong capability in layout design, pattern design, colour coordination, and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with social media design formats and digital content requirements.
• Working knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT is a must.
• Knowledge of video editing or motion graphics is an added advantage.
