Position Summary

The Pilot reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for the direct supervision of flight operations. The Pilot is responsible for the staffing requirements of Air7’s fleet of aircraft. The Chief Pilot is also responsible for ensuring the staff is properly trained and checked in accordance with the Air7 training program while ensuring a high proficiency and safety level in all flight operations. He also has the authority to carry out duties delegated to him by the Director of Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Has operational control of the aircraft and personnel.

· Directs flight operations, organizing and staffing Air 7’s fleet of aircraft.

· Conducts, forecasts, and schedules the training of Air 7’s flight crews.

· Ensures airports and routes are suitable and meet company requirements.

· Ensures that flight operations are conducted in accordance with national and international regulations, standards, and company operating policy.

· Maintains a current library, including GOM, MEL, AFM supplements, navigation databases, and aeronautical chart subscriptions, administers and keeps current the EFB program and software apps.

· Keeps all pilots informed on matters concerning flight operations.

· Administers and assigns working assignments to personnel.

· Monitors standardization of company’s pilots, enforces adherence and compliance in all phases of aircraft operations.

· Conducts annual pilot performance reviews to identify and assess current standards and adherence to safety and company procedures.

· Continually evaluates flight operations, initiating changes that will improve safety and reporting unsafe conditions to the Director of Operations and Director of Safety.

· Indoctrinates newly employed flight personnel, advancing pilots, and upgrading crew on their responsibilities and duties.

1-1. Overall Operations Supervision

- Supervise overall warehouse operations including SG local transportation from/to company’s warehouse(s)

- Establish and monitor the basic practice and implementation such as MHE pre-inspection, daily-walk-about in the respective work environment with the support from section leads below SLM

- Supervise and monitor WSH monthly reports and take a lead to close any negative findings.

- Receive an external or/and internal escalation upon any deviation or potential risk of deviation from the set KPIs.

- Provide the respective section leads with the relevant guidance and direction whereby how to adjust, correct, or upgrade daily operations.

1-2. Overall Operations Projects Supervision

- Delegate the respective tasks to the respective section leads by determining a schedule.

- Monitor the completion of respective project tasks.

- Receive any escalation from the section leads upon any potential delay or obstacles.

- Provide the respective section leads with the relevant advice and guidance for their clear understanding. - Schedule and arrange any internal session for internal alignments in case of any potential issues, especially the severe ones.

- Properly and timely escalate the potential risks to the direct superior.

Role & Responsibilities 

1.      Programme Co-ordination:

Provide logistic support for activities and wellness programmes that focus on building the elderly’s self-help capacity including:

• On-site active ageing programmes which may be recreational/social and cognitive in nature, sometimes in collaboration with external providers
• Organising and participating in community events, outings and outreach events, such as door-knocking to engage community seniors

2.      Administrative Duties

-         Maintain a daily register of seniors who participate in activities and programmes at the Centre, for submission if necessary

-         Assist with money collection, issue receipts, maintenance of petty cash and requisition of Centre supplies

-         Provide support to the Centre cleaner to promote and maintain cleanliness of the Centre

-         Ensure Centre maintenance tasks are done regularly, e.g. aircon servicing, LEW reviews, etc.

3.      Volunteer Engagement

-         Encourage senior participation and volunteerism through promotion of senior initiation and implementation of ideas and activities

-         Assist Volunteer Management Executive to engage volunteers to run programmes and activities

4.      Outreach and Befriending Services

-         Conduct wellness assessments of seniors

-         Assign befrienders to provide befriending services to socially isolated seniors

-         Onward referrals to case management executive for service linkage and care coordination, when required
