Position Objective

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project manager to join our team. The project manager will play a vital role in overseeing and managing various construction and renovation projects within the school premises. This position requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Objectives:

• Key contact point between appointed main contractor and School to ensure process and safety compliance

• Project implementation across campus

• Support accelerated project execution and delivery

Primary Responsibilities

Project Planning and Scheduling

• Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation

• Coordinate with school administration, faculty, and contractors to schedule project activities in alignment with academic calendars and operational requirements.

• Contractor Management

• Onboard contractors and vendors for construction and renovation projects.

• Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.

• Oversee contractor performance, including monitoring progress, quality of work, and adherence to timelines and budget.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets established standards and specifications

• Address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain project integrity and safety standards

Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, updates, and communications

• Provide regular progress reports to school leadership, stakeholders, and relevant committees

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks and obstacles that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies

• Proactively address issues as they arise to minimise disruptions and maintain project momentum

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

• Ensure all construction and renovation activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards

• Work with contractors to obtain necessary permits and approvals as required by regulatory authorities

Position Requirements

• Minimum 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in Project Management and coordination

• Experience in Program Risk Management and Change Management

• Able to understand construction and technical drawings, specifications and requirements

• Strong experience and knowledge in construction and workplace safety regulations

• Highly motivated and adaptable with a ‘can-do’ attitude

• Effective communication skills

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)

• Knowledge in AutoCAD

• Requires after office hours and weekends work

• Able to work independently with little supervision and guidance Qualifications

• Degree in Project Management / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent with minimum 8 years of relevant experience OR Diploma in Project Management / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience

Working Hours:

8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

• Ensure building compliance and lead engineering standard improvements across the portfolio.
• Oversee the day-to-day presentation, security, maintenance, and safety of properties.
• Manage approved OPEX and CAPEX budgets and review monthly expenditure against targets.
• Build trusted partnerships with tenants, clients, contractors, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with Property Managers to deliver accurate monthly client reports.
• Ensure all scheduled maintenance is executed flawlessly.

The Facilities Manager's responsibles are:

• Lead and oversee multiple teams and managers to ensure service delivery meets contractual KPIs and high quality standards.

About the Role

As a Condominium Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring a seamless, well-maintained living environment for residents. Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance Operations & Equipment Reliability

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily plant maintenance operations to ensure high equipment availability and minimal production downtime.
• Lead and supervise maintenance activities for processing equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes conveyors, compressors, heat exchangers, and packaging machinery.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement and predictive maintenance initiatives.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Utilities & Plant Infrastructure

• Oversee maintenance of plant utilities systems including boilers, steam systems, cooling towers, compressed air systems, and water treatment facilities.
• Ensure all utilities operate efficiently to support refinery, fractionation, and food ingredient production processes.
• Coordinate with utilities and production teams to maintain stable plant operations.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment lifespan and reduce breakdowns.
• Monitor and review maintenance schedules and work orders through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ensure maintenance records, equipment history, and documentation are properly maintained.

Team Leadership & Resource Planning

• Supervise and guide maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors in daily maintenance activities.
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet plant maintenance requirements.
• Provide training and mentoring to develop technical capabilities within the maintenance team.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Support plant engineering projects including equipment upgrades, plant modifications, and installation of new machinery.
• Participate in cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives within the plant.
• Evaluate spare parts requirements and ensure critical spare parts availability.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with workplace safety regulations and plant safety procedures.
• Enforce Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and permit-to-work systems during maintenance work.
• Support compliance with food safety and quality standards such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing or process industries (food, edible oil, chemical, or FMCG preferred).
• Experience managing maintenance activities for rotating equipment, pumps, motors, and utilities systems.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and troubleshooting of plant machinery.
• Experience supervising technicians or maintenance teams will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of CMMS maintenance systems is preferred.
• Able to work in a manufacturing plant environment and support plant shutdown or emergency maintenance when required.
