Key responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to, the management of design, budget, schedules, quality and personnel, as Client’s integrated project execution team - working primarily at the project site.

Other responsibilities:

• To assist the Project Manager(s) in day-today management of the contract;
• To advise the PM(s) on site quality and safety issues;
• To determine any non-conformances on works;
• To liaise with the Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly;
• To ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable timeframe;
• To ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety;
• To provide feedback to the PM(s) on quality and safety matters and suggests quality improvement measures for implementation on site;
• To supervise the installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation;
• To lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site
• To assist in the operating of the PMCC
• Other duties as and when assigned

Job Requirements & Person Specification (Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Behaviours)

• Degree in Civil & Structural (C&S) Engineering / Construction Management (Preferable from government university in Malaysia for Malaysia candidate)
• Relevant experience in a C&S, geotechnical, tunnel, or viaduct project / construction environment
• Proficiency in relevant software programmes for planning and project work is advantageous
• Experience with C&S, geotechnical, tunnel, or viaduct design would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Any offer of employment for the role of Project Engineer is also subject to approval from our client for you to commence work on their project
