The Technical Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day technical management and maintenance of assigned vessels, ensuring machinery reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective execution of technical operations.

The role focuses on maintenance execution, inspections, repairs, and dry-docking activities while supporting fleet performance objectives set by management.

Responsibilities and Duties
· Manage the technical condition and maintenance of assigned vessels to ensure safe and reliable operations.
· Implement and monitor Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
· Troubleshoot machinery issues and provide technical guidance to onboard engineers.

· Liaise with shipyards, vendors, surveyors, and underwriters on technical matters.
· Support incident investigations and root cause analysis related to technical failures.
· Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, Flag State, and Classification Society requirements.
· Provide technical reports and updates to Fleet Manager and management.

Qualifications
· Marine Engineer Officer (Class 1 COC preferred) or equivalent professional qualification.
· Minimum 5 years’ sea-going experience as Chief Engineer or Senior Engineer.
· At least 3 years’ shore-based experience as a Superintendent or in technical vessel management.
· Strong knowledge of international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code) and classification society rules.
· Proven experience in dry docking, vessel inspections, repairs, and cost control.
· Skilled in performance monitoring, technical reporting, and root cause analysis.

About the Role

We are hiring a HardwareEngineer to own the full hardware quality loop – from RMA diagnostics andhands-on rework, through root cause analysis, to driving design improvementsthat feed back into production. This is not a pure bench technician role and nota pure design role. What will you do?

The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, high-performance, and secure web applications. The role requires expertise in frontend and backend development, cloud technologies, DevOps automation, and application security. Engineers must work in an agile, DevOps-driven environment, ensuring high software quality, security, and maintainability.

What are we looking for?

• Proficient in database design and various databases (e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL, AWS S3, Athena, etc).
• Familiar with W3C Document Object Model and customized web scraping (e.g. BeautifulSoup, react, CasperJS, PhantomJS, Selenium, Nodejs, etc).
• Comfortable in at least one scripting language (eg. SQL, Python).
• Proficient in building batch jobs (e.g. AWS Database Migration Services (DMS), Python, AWS Lambda, ECS Container task, Eventbridge, AWS Glue).
• Knowledge about system design, data structure and algorithms.
• Relevant working experience as a developer or equivalent in at least 3 Agile/ full project development life cycle and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant
• Strong proficiency in both frontend and backend development
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

Frontend Technologies:

• JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Frontend frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, Vue.js
• Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma).

Backend Technologies:

• Node.js
• RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, and WebSockets for service communication.

Backend Scalability & API Design:

• Strong experience in API design principles, including REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and
• WebSockets.
• Familiarity with backend service scalability strategies (horizontal scaling, autoscaling, load balancing).

DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Cloud solutioning and hand-on experience with AWS Cloud (ECS Fargate
• containers, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, Networking). Government Commercial
• Cloud – GCC will be beneficial.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Security Best Practices:

• Strong knowledge of frontend security (CSP, CORS, XSS prevention).
• Able to build Scripts and API Integrations with knowledge of JWT, JWKS, Cognito and Authorisers.
• Familiarity with cloud security (IAM, Secrets Management, OWASP Top 10).

Software Quality & Testing:

• Experience with unit and integration testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Pact).
• Backend testing using Postman, Supertest, contract testing.
• Relevant experience in and knowledge of microservice architecture
• Experience in working will LLM, e.g. Open AI, Amazon Q, Gemini
• Familiarity with governance, adoption of digital services in enterprise IT environments.
• Work experience and strong troubleshooting skills in resolving application
• infrastructure (including desktop, server, network) and security related issues in a (Singapore) government environment.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team dedicated to building and scaling our flagship customer-facing digital products. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient, high performance services and APIs that power exceptional user experiences. Expertise in AWS infrastructure and modern architectural patterns is essential for success in this role.

• Design and Development: Architect, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Python, ensuring high availability and performance.
• AWS Infrastructure: Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and manage applications utilizing core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB).
• Architecture & Standards: Apply principles of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and leverage Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) to build maintainable and decoupled systems.
• API Management: Design, implement, and secure robust, scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using an AWS API Gateway.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Software Engineer working on production systems.
• Core Languages: Expert proficiency in Java and Python.
• Cloud Computing: Strong, hands-on experience developing and deploying applications within the AWS ecosystem.
• Architecture: Proven understanding and experience implementing Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Data Stores: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred).
