Solutions Specialist (Legal Technology)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Legal Technology team. The team sits within the Knowledge, Innovation and Technology (KIT) department of the firm.

The Solutions Specialist will design, develop and implement tailored technology solutions with a focus on generative AI tools to address our firm’s specific needs. You will collaborate with lawyers and staff to identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions, develop prototypes, and deploy applications to enhance workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Custom AI Development:

• Work closely with lawyers and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and implement generative AI tools to support legal work and other business use cases.
• Fine-tune large language models for legal-specific applications where required or applicable
• Analyse business requirements and develop other custom software applications or tools that enhance legal processes and improve efficiency.

2. System Integration:

• Integrate generative AI tools and other custom solutions with existing systems and ensure seamless functionality across various platforms.
• Develop APIs and workflows for integration across platforms

3. Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure functionality, reliability, and user satisfaction. This includes ensuring AI models adhere to compliance, confidentiality and data security standards.
• Gather feedback, iterate and improve performance.

4. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, including user guides and technical specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. A law degree or legal experience will be advantageous.
• 3 to 5 years of technical experience in a software development, systems analyst or related discipline preferably in the legal industry or a professional services environment.
• Proven track record of managing big data / data mining using analytical tools.

Experience:

• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks, with understanding and ability to implement

a) emerging technologies, distributed and highly scalable computing architecture, multi-cloud,

b) hybrid, server-less computing and advanced analytics;

c) big data and machine learning technologies; and

d) workflow methodologies.

• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, Swift, Go) and familiarity with relevant frameworks and tools

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.

The role will focus on application of smart contracts in energy applications. The Blockchain Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the platform’s blockchain infrastructure. This includes developing smart contracts, integrating Hyperledger Fabric and Avalon frameworks, implementing TEEs for confidential execution, and ensuring secure, tamper-proof dual-hash validation. The specialist will also oversee performance, scalability, and security of on-chain and off-chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement API connectors for IoT devices, metering infrastructure, SCADA, and DERMS platforms.

• Integrate the blockchain platform with corporate ERPs, billing systems, and financial institutions.

• Ensure secure, low-latency data exchange between on-chain smart contracts and off-chain systems.

• Develop data validation and reconciliation workflows to minimize disputes and errors.

• Support deployment of pilot projects (e.g., REIDS facility) and coordinate with DER operators.

Job Description

• Able to work within a team and resolve issues associate with site inspection.
• Provide weekly reports on site activities, including identified issues, proposed action plans, and solutions implemented to resolve them.
• Attend meetings at the client’s office or work site, as necessary, to address site-related issues and other project matters.
• Review and familiarize with project drawings and contract specifications. Highlight deviations during joint testing, commissioning, and inspections to ensure smooth handover, operational occupancy, resolution of post-construction defects and user feedback.

• To witness all inspections, testing and commissioning sessions performed by Sub-contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards, designs and specifications. To maintain records of tests carried out.
• To check as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manual.
• To inspect and assist with handing / taking over of completed works.
• To prepare defect lists, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified.
• To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including records of tests, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, material and equipment on site, labour, dayworks, provisional quantities, etc.
• To verify reports and claims submitted by Contractors and ensure proper documentation of project correspondences on site.
• To verify that all constructed works are in accordance with approved authorities drawings prior to any authorities inspection.
• To assist Consultants to organise formal inspections.

Requirements

• Possess at least a recognised Diploma/Nitec in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering/ Building
• Preferably Registered Resident Technical Officer with IES / ACES
• Site supervision experience in A&A works for institution building, inclusive new lift installation.
• The RTO-M&E shall have minimum eight (8) years of experience as an RTO, of which at least eight (8) years shall be in supervision of works similar
• Must be willing to perform night works.
