Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Secretary General (ASG) of the Singapore National Paralympic Council (SNPC) plays a critical role in supporting the organization's overall management and success. The ASG is responsible for a diverse range of accountabilities and ensures effective coordination, communication, and execution of key initiatives.
Responsibilities / Activities
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
a. Contribute to developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with the SNPC's mission and goals.
b. Collaborate with the Secretary General and other stakeholders to meet strategic objectives.
General Administration:
a. Support the Secretary General in the day-to-day administrative functions to ensure the smooth operation of the SNPC.
b. Oversee operational processes and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Coordination and Liaison:
a. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between different departments within the SNPC.
b. Act as a liaison between the SNPC and external organizations such as the International Paralympic Committees, International Federations, etc, fostering positive relationships.
Event Management:
a. Play a key role in the planning and executing SNPC events, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and standards.
b. Coordinate logistics, communication, and stakeholder engagement for events.
Policy Development and Implementation:
a. Contribute to the development and enhancement of organizational policies.
b. Ensure effective implementation and adherence to established policies.
Representation:
a. Represent the SNPC in various internal and external forums, meetings, and events.
b. Articulate the organization's mission, values, and objectives to different stakeholders.
Reports and Analysis:
a. Provide regular updates and reports to the Secretary General on key activities and achievements.
b. Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive reports on the overall performance of the organization.
Communication Management:
a. Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance the visibility and reputation of the SNPC.
b. Act as the primary liaison for media relations, coordinating press releases, interviews, and other media activities.
c. Manage public relations efforts to promote a positive image of the SNPC
d. Oversee the organization's digital presence, including the official website and social media platforms.
e. Coordinate promoting SNPC events, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, athletes, and the public.
f. Contribute to the development of the annual report, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and plans in Communication and Engagement.
Job Requirements
The Assistant Secretary General role requires a candidate who is experienced and knowledgeable in event managements, consultancy, governance, partnership, and administration. The role will also require a range
of personal and professional skills.
Experience
· Strategic, operational and administrative planning
· Corporate partnership and events management
· At least 5 years or more in a senior management position, preferably in a non-profit organisation
· Leading and managing staff
