• Support retail and commercial teams through performance analysis, operational cadence, and on-the-ground retail exposure, translating data into actions to improve execution across doors/stores

Core Responsibilities

Performance Reporting & Business Insights

• Prepare weekly/monthly performance summaries (sell-out, productivity, door performance) with commentary and action points
• Track key retail KPIs and follow up on initiatives (e.g., staffing productivity, stock availability, promo execution—customize to your reality)
• Present insights in weekly commercial/retail meetings; ensure actions are documented and closed

Commercial & Financial Support

• Support expense tracking vs budget and last year; highlight variances and drivers
• Assist with simple ROI/business case inputs for door investments/renovations (with guidance)

Market, Door & Portfolio Analysis

• Support market research on trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity in travel retail beauty
• Analyze performance across countries/doors (sales, margin/profitability, expense efficiency) and highlight opportunities/risks
• Help define and track commercial KPIs and contribute to weekly commercial meeting materials (insights, recommendations, actions)

Management Reporting

• Translate analysis into clear presentations for stakeholders (structured storylines, key takeaways, recommendations)

Deliverables / Success Measures

YOUR MISSION _________

• Drive process efficiency by automating reporting and improving data workflows, enabling faster and more reliable decision-making through standardized datasets and dashboards

Core Responsibilities

Automation & Digitalization

• Identify recurring manual tasks (report preparation, data consolidation, tracker updates) and redesign workflows to reduce cycle time and errors
• Build automation using Excel Power Query/Power Pivot, Power BI dataflows, and/or Python (where applicable)
• Support digitization of trackers/forms (e.g., standardized templates, structured input, controlled master data)

Data Pipeline & Governance (Light data engineering)

• Consolidate data from multiple sources into clean, standardized datasets (“single source of truth”)
• Maintain backend datasets and ensure refresh schedules and data quality controls that support real-time retail, operations, and data dashboards
• Implement data governance: KPI definitions, data validation checks, version control, documentation in line with APAC database

Dashboards & Self-Serve Reporting

• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reporting packs for stakeholders
• Create clear metric definitions and user guides to enable self-serve usage

Documentation & Enablement

• Maintain SOPs, process documentation, and training materials for new automated workflows
• Support ad-hoc analytics requests tied to improving repeatable processes

Deliverables / Success Measures

• Accurate and on-time retail ops reporting packs and dashboards
• Improved data quality and governance (fewer reporting errors, clearer KPI definitions)
• Documented processes/SOPs and measurable time saved via automation or workflow improvements
• Effective coordination support to stores and field team

About the Role

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Strategy Director to deliver analyses and insights for key strategic projects.

• Conduct market research and data analysis across Carousell Group entities (Carousell, Mudah, ChoTot, and more).

• Translate findings into actionable recommendations and support stakeholder alignment.

• Get exposure to Founder’s Office initiatives including Annual Operating Plans, budgeting exercises, and growth strategies.

• Contribute ideas and value from day one in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
