Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and manage a portfolio of clients across various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance services while leading a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the accounting team to ensure quality service delivery to clients.
• Oversee the full set of accounts for a portfolio of clients from various industries.
• Review bookkeeping, accounting records, and financial statements prepared by team members.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules.

• Monitor work progress, resource allocation, and team performance to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Handle complex accounting issues and provide practical solutions to clients.
• Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in an accounting firm, corporate services firm, outsourcing firm, or professional services environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting standards.
• Familiarity with tax compliance, payroll processing, and statutory filing requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, Sage, AutoCount, SQL Accounting, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular internal quality audits to assess the compliance of manufacturing processes with established quality standards and requirement
• Generate or compile reports of audit findings, highlighting areas for improvement and follow up on corrective actions to enhance the efficiency and quality of manufacturing processes
• Perform process verification to ensure that manufacturing process are executed correctly and meet the defined standard and specification
• Support on the administration of calibration control of test and measurement equipment
• Support the regularly update and maintenance of documentation including ISO documents, Control Planand Inspection Checklist and process verification records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standard
• Perform data analysis and investigation based on customer feedback, identifying trends and areas for improvement in collaboration with the Engineer
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Provide support and preparation for external audit such as customer audit, ISO audit, by ensuring relevant documentation, records are readily available and up to date

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering, Science, or relevant field study
• Prior experience in a QA / QM role or similar function
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
• Proficiency in statistical concepts & tools and software, such as Minitab, JMP, Tableau, Python or similar for data analysis
• Familiarity with QA tools and methodology such as 8D (Methodology, Mistake Proofing (POKA YOKE), Root Cause Analysis, and FMEA
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

About the role:
Lead Singapore finance operations and support APAC accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax, treasury, and internal controls. Partner with regional stakeholders to drive process improvements, support business decisions, and maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Job duties:

• Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations for Singapore and support selected APAC entities.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, payroll accounting, inventory accounting, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, statutory regulations, GST, corporate tax, and internal policies.
• Coordinate annual audits, statutory filings, and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate secretaries.
• Maintain and strengthen SOX compliance, internal controls, risk management processes, and audit readiness.
• Manage treasury and cash management activities, including banking relationships, cash flow monitoring, and payment approvals.

• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to accounting controls and reporting accuracy.
• Coach and guide finance team members while collaborating with regional and global finance stakeholders.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA/CA/ACCA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, leadership or supervisory responsibilities within a multinational environment is a bonus.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore statutory reporting, GST, corporate tax, and financial compliance requirements.
