Position – Senior Scientist in Pharmacology Unit
CPR is seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous Pharmacologist who is passionate about generating innovative ideas and translating disease biology into impactful therapeutics for patients with unmet medical needs.
You bring strong expertise in both in vitro and in vivo pharmacology to drive target validation and antibody-based drug discovery. Reporting to the Research Manager, you will lead defined studies and workstreams and participate in cross-functional discussions to advance projects across the discovery pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, plan, and oversee in vitro and/or in vivo pharmacology studies to assess efficacy, establish mechanism of action.
· Develop and optimize screening strategies and functional assays for antibody programs.
· Analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate data; deliver reports and presentations to inform project decisions and go/no-go milestones.
· Mentor junior scientists/research associates; foster scientific rigor and a collaborative culture.
· Propose innovative hypotheses and new project concepts
· Prepare scientific publications and patent applications in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications:
· Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field with 0 – 3+ years of relevant industry or research experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biomedical research environment
· Strong foundation in molecular and cell biology, demonstrated through research outputs (e.g., presentations or peer-reviewed publications)
· Hands-on expertise designing, planning, and analyzing in vitro and/or in vivo pharmacology studies
· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute to project outcomes in cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
· Post‑PhD industry or postdoctoral experience in drug discovery with demonstrated contributions to target validation, screening strategy, or lead identification.
· Experience independently driving in vitro and/or in vivo studies; track record of delivering decision‑enabling data(e.g., internal milestones, publications, or patents).
· Experience in translational pharmacology, including linking mechanistic findings to disease-relevant models
· Experience working in cross-functional drug discovery teams (e.g., biology, antibody engineering, DMPK)
