Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant/ Research Associate in the Human Potential Translational Research Programme (HPTRP), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.  The HPTRP aims to bring together researchers from a wide range of disciplines with an interest to maximise human potential. In HPTRP, focusing only on human studies, we aim to adopt a holistic perspective that considers human potential as an integrative measure of health, productivity, performance, human capital and overall well-being over the lifespan, in our environment. Purpose of the post

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to coordinate data collection and support research operations under the Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) birth cohort study.  The Research Assistant/Associate will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigators and study team members to ensure the successful completion of GUSTO projects on time. The RA’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as data collection, data entry and analysis and drafting of publications and reports.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Research Assistant/Associate will liaise with the relevant personnel to smooth the process of recruitment and data collection and will be accountable to the Principal Investigator(s).

The Research Assistant/Associate will be expected to:

1. Conduct surveys and interviews with children, adolescents, and parents at KK Children’s and Women’s Hospital. 
2. Manage the participant reimbursement schedule.
3. Maintain data security and confidentiality according to PDPA. 
4. Draft ethics approval forms in accordance with IRBs. 
5. Conduct extensive work with data, including organization, cleaning, coding, and analysis.
