AECOM is seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Data Center Market Sector Leader for Asia to drive strategic expansion, client engagement, and delivery excellence across one of the fastest-growing global infrastructure markets. This role will lead market development efforts, oversee major pursuits, strengthen key client relationships, and build a high-performing regional data center practice in partnership with AECOM’s global technology leadership.

The successful candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to mobilise multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class outcomes for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center clients.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth and Market Development

• Influence and implement the Asia data center market strategy, leveraging AECOM’s global platform, expertise, and delivery capabilities.
• Attract and secure new data center clients while building and maintaining a robust opportunity pipeline in partnership with global technology market sector leadership and client account managers.
• Participate in and help drive innovation initiatives to differentiate AECOM and respond to emerging market trends (e.g., design automation, decarbonization, renewable energy integration, liquid cooling, rack densification).
• Lead and grow AECOM’s data center business across all business lines and services including due diligence, master planning, data center/power/water infrastructure design, construction management, project management, quantity surveying, environmental services, etc.
• Provide thought leadership internally and externally, strengthening AECOM’s brand as a leader in data center development.
• Track and deliver against key performance indicators including project bookings, executed net service revenue, gross margin, and quality.

Pursuit and Proposal Leadership

• Oversee the development of high-quality, competitive, and winning proposals, including both technical and commercial submissions.
• Lead client presentations, interviews, and pursuit strategy sessions.
• Drive growth of existing client accounts in collaboration with global technology market sector leaders and account management teams.
• Work closely with AECOM’s Global and Regional Market Sector Leaders (US, Europe, India, Middle East, ANZ, etc.) to share resources, enhance capabilities, and deliver the best of AECOM to every pursuit.

Client Relationship and Client Account Management

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives and decision-makers at regional and global data center organizations.
• Serve as a senior point of escalation for key client matters, ensuring responsiveness, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Travel as needed across the Asia region to support client engagement, project execution, and team development priorities.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Hire new talent and cross-train existing staff to strengthen technical depth and delivery capacity, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, leadership, and ownership.
• Provide oversight of a portfolio of major projects and programs of significant scale, complexity, and financial impact.
• Ensure high-quality, timely, and profitable delivery of the regional data center project portfolio.
• Continuously refine delivery strategies and operational approaches to improve predictability, efficiency, and quality outcomes.

Performs complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms, such as Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, Plant 3D, etc. software, to achieve set results and deadlines

•  Works under limited supervision.
• Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content. 
• Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).

The role will be supporting the day-to-day payroll services for the assigned region (Americqas) by processing assigned processes in compliance with established methodologies, regulations, service-level-agreements (SLA), and processes. The role will also be responsible in administering and processing relevant payroll and HR services systems activities.

• Accurately and timely perform assigned activities in support to the payroll services.
• Provide administrative assistance to the regulation alignment activities to ensure a compliant payroll processing (Taxation, Legislations, and other regulations).
• Perform assigned systems and documentations management activities to ensure compliance ang alignment to relevant payroll records and documentations.
• Escalate and analyze identified issues and concerns to the Team Lead for timely resolution.
• Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
• Perform simple but varied tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.

• Works with the company financial and cornerstone systems and processes.  
• Applies financial terminology, measures, financial data analysis concepts and principles in assignments.

• Develops and maintains WBS for small projects. 
• Assists in the use of drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data. 
• Begins basic analysis of cost and schedule variances.
• Develops knowledge of accounting principles.   
• Assists in assembling data for trending and forecasting.
• Understands progress/performance data and associated concepts and principles. Participates in the collection of progress data and review of performance trends.
• Familiar with earned value, scope control and change management concepts, principles and methodologies. 
• Collects data and produces an initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations. 
• Collects and analyzes data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations. 
• Provides support to tracking purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures.
• Familiar with the concepts and principles of project revenue and cost.
• Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.
• Introduced to performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles.
• Develops knowledge of scope control and change management.
• Supports project reporting process as required.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Technical Director – Structural Engineer join our diverse Structures team, across Australia. This role offers a rare chance to step into a Director position within our National Building Engineering team, contributing to landmark projects across ANZ. 

Whilst our preference is Adelaide, this role can also be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.

• Lead the delivery of complex structural and multi-disciplinary building projects across sectors such as health, defence, transport, commercial, aviation, and data centres throughout Australia.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight of structural design, ensuring compliance with Australian codes, standards and best-practice engineering principles across all projects.
• Drive innovation and excellence in project execution, reviewing design calculations, specifications, models, and drawings to ensure quality outcomes and coordinated multi-disciplinary delivery.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships, supporting business development and securing a strong pipeline of high-profile structural projects.
• Mentor and develop senior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth, leadership capability, and a culture of engineering excellence.
• Further strengthen AECOM’s structural engineering presence across ANZ, influencing strategy, team growth and national capability development.
