• Responsible for full set of accounts of a few operational entities, including management accounts, tax matters, GST and cash management, planning, budgeting and forecasting, and liaising with various business stakeholders (including outsourced shared service providers)
• Analyse financial results and identify improvement opportunities in internal controls, processes, policies and procedures
• Assist to review transactional and ancillary documents, provide commercial inputs and liaise with consultants for various projects including acquisitions, divestments and/or restructuring.
• Deal with internal and other stakeholders including tax agents, corporate secretaries, auditors and/or trustee of the REIT’s entities
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Other ad-hoc projects, duties and responsibilities as required by management

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent
• At least 4 years of relevant experience
• Analytical, resourceful, good problem-solving capability and proactive team player
• Strong financial literacy skills
• Prior audit background and experience in REIT industry preferred
• Experience with SAP/BPC and Yardi preferred

Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to

• Maximize new business/acquisition/referral opportunities and deepening existing customer relationships to the specified service standards for the Priority Clients segment

Key Responsibilities

Implementation and oversight of the below individual responsibilities:

• Ability to source and acquire New to Bank clients.

• Strong prospecting and networking skills.

• Capability to identify business development opportunities and grow market share

• To conduct a professional, consultative financial analysis and profiling session with customers to meet their financial needs/objectives.

• To foster and deepen customer relationships by providing regular market information updates and trend analysis on local and international financial products.

• In consultation with the PB team manager/ branch manager/ PTL, draw up monthly plans for achieving/exceeding sales targets to meet new business and customer acquisition goals

• To participate in marketing and promotional activities for customer acquisition.

• To source and call on individual affluent coverage segment prospects

• To provide quality, efficient after-sales services

• To manage anti-attrition and retention of clients

• To organise and conduct sales presentations to groups, clubs, associations, companies and other organisations.

• To solicit referrals from other parts of SCB eg. RMs from C&I, staff, etc.

• Collaborate and coordinate across departments to ensure smooth client onboarding and servicing.

• Ability to adapt to changing business priorities.

This role will be part of the fast growing dynamic custody operations team, working with the product sales team, relationship management team as well as internal stakeholders.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Act as Maker on all outbound payment instructions, settlement instructions, and securities movement instructions within the custodian banking platform, ensuring accuracy before submission.
2. Process trade settlements, corporate actions, static data updates, and MIS reporting of the custody business.
3. Ensure daily BAU tasks are completed and exceptional matters escalated to management in a timely manner.
4. Input and process custodian sub-account opening, custody fee processing, and related operational tasks.
5. Liaise with Head office custody team, operations team from various branches regarding custody business.
6. Coordinate with sub-custodians, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth settlement.
7. Provide management support, drive and implement process enhancement and improvements.
8. Participate in UAT testing for system upgrades and new function launches.
9. Handle issues and requests from both internal and external stakeholders regarding custody operational enquiries.
10. Performance oriented; promote the development of custody business by working closely with Front office team.
11. Constant discussion with team lead and team members on possible process streamlining.
12. Involved in process reviews and updating the team's standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (MAS, SGX, etc.)
13. Actively involved in custody related information collation and MAS reporting.
    

Requirement:

1. Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of working experience, preferably in banking, custody operations or securities and fund operations.
2. Knowledge on the duties of a Depository Agent will be added advantage.
3. High adaptability, ability to handle stress in a fast paced environment and efficient team manager.
4. Meticulous and efficient team member driving team to complete assigned task within the designated timeframe.
5. Effective communication with good interpersonal, written and verbal skills in both English and Chinese so as to provide service for Chinese speaking customers and report to Head office.
6. Proficiency in Python or PowerPoint will be an added advantage.

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Responsibilities:

• Manage Front Office’s queries and support troubleshooting
• Manage processing of e-banking applications / modifications / cancellations, mailing addresses and conditions changes for clients and agents accurately and timely
• Handle returned mails for client portfolios
• Manage ad-hoc clients statements and advices printing requests
• Maintain client data in the bank systems and perform clean-up when required
• Deliver consistent service and meet the established SLAs (Service Level Agreements) while complying with the Bank’s policies and procedures
• Support any ad-hoc tasks / requests as assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Degree with at least 3 years of account documentation requirement in Private Bank
• Experience in mailing related data maintenance for Client and Agent (EAM, EFA, Finder) records is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Macros and Visual Basic knowledge as well as an aptitude for technology
