Job Summary
Responsible for Quality Assurance/Quality Control of Gradiant systems from engineering, construction, commissioning to operations phases. Implement, manage and maintain Gradiant’s Integrated Management System (IMS): ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System & ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
Manage all Gradiant QA/QC activities. This role is a regional role and adhoc travels are required.
Duties and Responsibilities
In collaboration and alignment with Corporate Engineering, Construction/Project Management, Procurement:
QA/QC
• Implement, manage and maintain Gradiant’s Integrated Management System (IMS): ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System & ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
• Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan (QP) ensuring the company’s quality management systems (QMS) and policies comply with quality system requirements.
• Manage and ensure that the company’s quality inspection processes & procedures are fully adhered to.
• Work with each department to create and maintain all procedures.
• Prepare and report quality metrics at the monthly management meetings.
• Organise and ensure technical staff carry out tests and checks according to QMS procedures.
• Work with all functions across the business and region to establish quality requirements from internal & external suppliers.
• Drive & lead quality audits – Internal, External & ISO.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards (ISO) and legislation where required.
• Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC.
• Manage QA/QC checks on incoming material and supplied systems, ensuring key quality documentation is provided.
• Set clear compliance objectives for the quality team and ensure that these targets are achieved.
• Agree standards and establish a clearly defined regular rhythm of quality methods for staff to follow.
• Establish & lead NCR (non-conformance report) tracking and resolution across the entire business.
• Create and lead a CI (continuous improvement) culture and program focused on eliminating defects, rework and scrap.
• Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures with QMS updates.
• Ensure document control procedures are strictly understood and followed throughout the company.
• Identify quality-related training requirements and deliver or organise relevant training.
• Travel to other regional offices and customer sites as necessary.
PROJECT SUPPORT
• Inspect the job whenever required as per approved procedures, client’s specification, applicable code, standards & approved drawings.
• Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural, and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary processes.
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
• Ensure that the construction quality is in accordance with the approved Project Quality Plan.
• Ensure quality of inspected items meet project requirement and standard.
• Co-ordinate with Notifying body for site inspection (if required) for PED approval
• Conduct audits, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
• Close-out defects or non-compliance, final document compilation and submission, and get client acceptance.
• Participate in Construction & technical meetings related to Gradiant projects being executed and potential project opportunities as Gradiant’s representative.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), (Mechanical), (Electrical) or equivalent
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant working experience in EPC projects with multi discipline.
• A valid welding inspection certificate such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector or CSWIP 3.1. is preferable
• Understanding engineering drawings and specification requirements.
• Knowledgeable in QMS, Welding Inspection, Quality Assurance and Quality Control System.
• Understand piping fabrication/installation inspection and testing requirements.
• Familiar with basic conventional NDT methods.
• Computer literate and familiar in using basic Microsoft office programs.
• Excellent team player and able to work independently.
• Reliable, well-organized and detail oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
• Excellent organizational and strong verbal and written skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by your Superior.
