PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving export sales, expanding market presence, and building long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead market development and sales of South Asian dried and packaged food products to regional and overseas customers to increase export revenue
• Acquire and maintain deep product knowledge to effectively communicate product benefits and competitive advantages to customers, enhancing sales conversion
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, responding to trade enquiries, and generating leads to expand market reach
• Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers to maximise sales volume and encourage repeat business
• Develop, implement, and monitor targeted sales strategies to achieve defined sales targets and profitability goals
• Prepare accurate quotations, negotiate pricing terms, and follow up on sales enquiries to close deals efficiently
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order processing, accurate export documentation, and adherence to delivery schedules
• Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to identify and recommend new growth opportunities
• Represent the company at trade shows, customer visits, and overseas business development activities to strengthen market presence
• Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts for management review to support strategic decision-making

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Possession of Class 2B / Class 3 driving licence
• Experience handling regional export markets and overseas customers
• Familiarity with export procedures and documentation
• At least 2-3 years of sales or export experience, preferably in FMCG or food distribution
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday (Alternate): 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM

All Saturdays will be compensated separately.
