Department: Sales - Field Crops Agronomy

ROLE PURPOSE & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Product Evaluation - Identify the products matching with segment need and arrive on value proposition & positioning Stage 6 to 7, strengthen cross functional co-ordination (Sales/Marketing/R&D).  Planning and execution of S6 trials and MPDs and maintain right quality and effective data collection and submission in HPC to strengthen pipeline.
• Product Agronomy Research- Engage in agronomy research to add product value - Identify the strength in product to position them right.  Identify key growers farm productivity gaps in the region and design and execute the program to fill those gaps to improve grower’s profitability and productivity.
• Product Demo & Sample Plan & Execution - Champion Customer Success - Demonstrate the right value to right customer by increased productivity & profitability. Planning and execution of NPLs Demonstration against targeting competition to generate new customers.
• Productivity Gap Identification and Improvement Initiative - Create knowledge pool to support marketing to position the product in right geographies with effective product value communication.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Compliance: Adhere to Syngenta HSE compliances and demonstrate the standard safe environment and encourage team to maintain the same.
• Cross functional co-ordination: work closely with Sales (TM/MDO)s to execute various agronomic/ product developmental activities with sales / Marketing (PM)

• Support business development and customer management by initially identifying potential customers, provision of updated market intelligence to supervisor/team,
• Coordination with customer services/ Supply chain/ logistics personnel
• Assistance in product promotion, product trials, etc.
• Identify and attract new customers (Including Distributors), pursue new applications, and interact with corresponding process and product developers of the potential customers, leading to profitable future business.
• Continuously increase market intelligence and update customer and competitor data and apply the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Negotiate and close deals or contracts with customers and provide operational guidance and support to the relevant functional departments to ensure implementation.
• Identify customer requirements and offer solutions accordingly.
• Explore and appoint distributors and applicators as required to ensure smooth sales and operations and ensure market coverage
• Provide accurate sales forecast, supporting efficient planning of products and services.
• Consistently and continuously exhibit safe behavior at driving, project sites, offices and for self and others.

• Monitor sales pipeline health and publish dashboards for Target Market Managers.
• Maintain trackers for key Target Market initiatives and follow up on progress.
• Support TM Engineering with refurbishment product management tasks and documentation.
• Keep the TM SharePoint updated with all relevant data, documents, and trackers.
