Join the laboratory of Liu Chuan Fa at the School of Biological Sciences. We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to a project focused on developing protein conjugates and cyclic peptides as therapeutic agents using bioconjugation and peptide chemistry techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop peptide cyclization methods

• Develop bioconjugation techniques using plant-derived AEPs and other enzymes

• Evaluate pharmacological activity of cyclic peptides and bioconjugates

• Supervise attachment students (FYP, URECA and interns)

• Develop and use AI tools for drug discovery

• Write up, publish and present research results in peer-reviewed international journals and at scientific conferences.

Job Requirements

• A PhD degree in biological sciences or related areas, with prior training in medicinal chemistry, peptide and protein science

• Experience in small-molecule drug discovery, peptide synthesis, protein chemistry and bioconjugation research
