Job Description

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. There are multiple positions available at different levels with a diverse set of expertise. This program is funded under the National Quantum Processor Initiative, a flagship program under the National Quantum Office Singapore. The aim of the program is to develop a full stack quantum processor system based on Yb-Ba ions emphasizing on the performance rather than on the qubit numbers. Unlike traditional advisory roles, you will function as an innovator-builder, moving beyond high-level architecture to code, debug, and jointly ship bespoke and scalable agentic solutions directly with our partners, for and within the customer’s environment. You will address blockers to production including solving the integration complexities, data readiness issues, and state-management issues that prevent AI from reaching enterprise-grade maturity. By embedding with strategic partners, you will serve a dual purpose: providing white glove deployment of complex AI systems and acting as a critical connector and feedback loop for the partner to Google, transforming real-world field and partner insights into Google Cloud’s future product roadmap. You will serve as the agent engineer bridging the gap between AI prototypes and production-grade reality for our strategic AI partners and their own FDE teams.

• Serve as a team lead and developer within the strategic AI partner for complex AI applications, working with the partner’s own teams to transition from rapid prototypes to production-grade, replicable agentic workflows (e.g., multi-agent systems, MCP servers) that drive measurable return on investment (ROI).
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure partner developed agentic systems meet rigorous requirements for accuracy, safety, and latency.
• Identify repeatable partner and field patterns and friction points in Google’s AI stack, converting them into reusable modules or formal product feature requests for the Engineering teams.
• Co-build with a strategic AI partner’s forward deployed engineering teams to instill Google-grade development best practices.
• Help partners to build their own agentic delivery capabilities to set them up for long term success, focusing on the ROI at customer engagements ensuring customer activation.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development using Python or similar coding languages.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data using both vector databases and RAG-like architectures to power enterprise AI solutions.
• Experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception to launch for customers.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience implementing multi-agent systems using frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, ADK) and complex patterns (e.g., ReAct, self-reflection, hierarchical delegation).
• Knowledge of Large Language Model native metrics (e.g., tokens/sec, cost-per-request) and techniques for optimizing state management and granular tracing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the performance, power consumption, and reliability testing and analysis of NAND memory products, and formulating test specifications and verification processes.
• Develop and maintain test equipment (ATE), including the definition and implementation of test modes such as BIST, DFT, and DFM, continuously improving test coverage and optimizing test time.
• Locate the causes of product failures after delivery and at the wafer stage through electrical failure analysis, design circuit analysis, physical failure analysis, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with the product design team and process team to identify the root causes of failures and drive the implementation of solutions.
• Support the testing and debugging of products in system-level applications (such as SSD, UFS, eMCP) to ensure efficient use by customers and the system side.
• Complete user manual verification, product test function verification, and participate in other test-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

1. Education and major: Master's degree or above in microelectronics, integrated circuits, electronic engineering, computer science, automation, physics, materials science, or other related STEM fields.

2. Experience requirements:

• Familiar with semiconductor product principles and testing mechanisms; background in memory (NOR/NAND Flash, SRAM, DRAM, phase-change memory, ferroelectric, etc.) testing or design verification is a plus.
• Experience in testing 3D-NAND, TLC/QLC, or flash memory products is a plus.
• Experience with successfully tape-out and mass-produced memory chip projects is a plus.

3. Technical skills:

• Proficient in C/C++, Python, Perl, etc., and familiar with UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience in ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) development (e.g., T5830, T5833, Magnum V93K, etc.).
• Familiar with the functions, performance, and reliability indicators of memory products.
• Familiar with design-for-test (CFT), DFM, and other design-for-test (CFT) methodologies.

4. Other skills:

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and capable individual to work with flexible sensors, wearable technologies, and benchtop biochemical analytics.

1. Be familiar with electrochemistry and electrochemical detection/analytics, colorimetric assays, enzymatic reactions, and biochemistry.
2. Be familiar with, and regular/daily wet-lab processes, materials processing, sample preparation, and electrochemical device preparation.
3. Be familiar with device and materials characterisation, such as common electrochemical approaches (CV, amperometry, DPV, SWV, etc), impedance measurements, basic optical measurements, and standard microscopy.
4. Possess basic computational abilities such as python, basic AI skills, with a keen eye for automation.
5. Be highly motivated for intellectual output (problem solving, publications, IP and general knowledge creation), able to learn quick on the job, able to think outside the box for research and engineering solutions

Qualifications & Field of Study:

Bachelors in preferably biomedical engineering, or materials science and engineering; chemical or electronics engineering or related fields are also relevant.

1. Good understanding of sensing materials, conductive/semiconductive materials, electronic devices, electrochemical sensors, and their related device engineering/development and characterisation tools
2. Good with detailed hands-on work in wet lab, meticulous and attention to detail; good with characterisation measurements
3. Have sufficient computational knowledge and abilities to complement research, including basic programming language, basic AI skills, awareness of automation etc.
4. Basic awareness and knowledge of biosensors, wearables technology, healthcare/medtech landscape.
