The Backend Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure backend services that power digital products. a) Collaborate with Business Analysts (BA) and Product Managers to refine user stories and translate them into technical requirements.

Job Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in an individual contributor software engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js will be an advantage.
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform will be an advantage.
• Strong track record in large-scale partner solution implementation, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical discussions between internal teams and external partners.
• Experience working in highly secured or air-gapped environments such as government, banking, or similar systems will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure & Automation: Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and optimize automated pipelines for testing, deployment, and release management.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Implement observability frameworks, including monitoring, logging, and alerting, to ensure system performance and uptime.
• Security & Compliance: Apply cloud security best practices, manage access controls, and maintain compliance across all environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend, frontend, and product teams to enable smooth deployments and reliable operations.
• Process Improvement & Mentorship: Enhance DevOps workflows, promote best practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps or SRE, with strong skills in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD).
• Solid Linux administration, networking, and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experienced in monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, etc.
• Skilled in automation and scripting (Python, Go, Bash) to improve system reliability and performance.
• Designs secure, scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure with disaster recovery planning.
• Strong collaboration, ownership, and communication skills, able to mentor teams and convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
