The APAC Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is seeking a Construction EHS Project Manager with the passion to drive value across complex supplier relationships and demonstrated experience in supplier management. Strong analytical skills, using data to design processes that scale, effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and the drive to continuously improve and achieve business objectives will be critical to success in this role.  The span and complexity of our activities requires advanced knowledge and technical specialization in construction and design safety management to recognize and control risks. 

The Construction EHS Project Manager must be an experienced and recognized technical expert in Construction and Design Safety, to include incorporation of safety into business and project management processes. His/her mission is to assist EHS program safety leads, business line Regional Directors, and Construction Managers with advancing safety programs and culture for both the lease and build portfolios.  This role will be functioning as the person who will be responsible for design, delivery and maintenance of various reports, forums, analysis, etc.    S/he will monitor risks, trends and leading/lagging metrics, then develop reports and management review content that will be used to drive accountability and action.  There will be extensive interaction with a diverse range of business partners, peers and stakeholders inside and outside of the company.  Close liaison will be maintained with stakeholders, the overall APAC EHS Team and the EPC team.

Responsibilities

The Construction EHS Project Manager will: 

• Work with leaders, staff and contractors at all levels and in multiple cultures to implement effective solutions. 
• Drive supplier safety performance through safety leadership engagement, collaborative forums, and contractual assurance actions.
• Assist the EHS Construction Managers valuate EHS risks during site selection, design, construction, and commissioning activities and ensure actions are taken to mitigate risks.
• Work with business partners and peer EHS teams to ensure the transition from datacenter delivery to datacenter operations is smooth and risks are adequately mitigated. 
• Drive a standardized and harmonized approach across datacenter activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. 
• Present on a regular basis to various leadership teams.
• Interface with local, national and international regulatory agencies on safety issues.
• Interpret safety standards and regulatory requirements to assure compliance and aggressive management of risk.

Qualifications

Education:

•  A University/Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education in science, engineering or related Safety/SHE discipline/degree is preferred but equivalent experience and/or certifications can be substituted.

Experience:

•  A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Construction and Design Safety is required, with demonstrated knowledge and experience controlling the broad spectrum of safety risks.

• Lead BIM/VDC/IDD initiatives and manage programmes that will enhance productivity for the Organisation.

• Support Projects BIM implementation using Autodesk AEC Collection especially Revit and, Naviswork, and Autodesk Construction Cloud, coupled with VDC methodology and BCA IDD Use Cases.

• Lead in BIM/VDC/IDD education & training programmes for the unit and the organisation.

• Build up and maintain BIM/VDC/IDD team through hiring and development programmes.

• Support HOD on budgeting, manpower and resource planning, project performance assessment and appraisal, and manpower development.

• Provide input to the development of the company policies and strategies related to Project BIM Implementation and Management.

• Implement and ensures compliance with company’s BIM policies and strategies within the team.

• Create the conditions and support for collaboration within the Department.

• Manage and maintain Corporate Guides related to BIM-VDC-IDD.

• Reporting on department projects and staffs state of progress.

• Support Tender Team in providing specific information for tender requirements.

• Engage suppliers, vendors, contractors (and subcontractors) in full-filling internal project deliverables.

• Keep up to pace with industry technology movement and put forward strategies for consideration to management.

• Organise information, training programmes, coaching and guidance for in-house operations and systems to our users.

• Develop and manage learning materials.

• Oversees, lead and manage all Project BIM-VDC-IDD accordance to project requirements, and providing regular updates on implementation to respective stakeholders.

• Develop, manage and enhance project BEP, project BIM libraries and Content across all projects, and ensure consistencies in the results.

• Continuously enhancing BIM/VDC/IDD Guides, Standards and Methodologies.

• Support inter-department use of BIM materials, content and data exchanges.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years in similar capacity in the Construction Industry.

• Competent in BIM-VDC-IDD Tools and Project Management is essential.

• Good knowledge of industry practises to Construction deliverables as well as DfMA is required.
