Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Analyst, Asia-Pacific

The APAC Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Analyst will be based in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia providing regional threat detection, intelligence collection and analysis, risk incident triage and escalation as well as crisis management support (administrative & operational) for the firm across APAC. The Analyst supports and works integrally with the 24/7/365 APAC GSOC team based in Singapore. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
• Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Operations, and QA
• Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements
• Conduct data analysis to support business decisions and identify trends
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions
• Support project planning, testing, implementation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and process documentation
• Ensure delivered solutions align with business objectives and user expectations
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in technology or digital transformation projects
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or data visualization tools
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certification are a plus
• Experience with process mapping and workflow optimization

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the management of rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue, as well as maintain accuracy of information and enhance automation efforts in reservation system.

• Assist in the preparation of competitive analysis and other supporting documents for presentation at market sales strategy meetings.

• Assist in managing room authorizations, rates, and restrictions, including communicating rate restrictions and strategy to properties.

• Perform all Revenue Management month end reporting and auditing and provide forward looking information for the purposes of forecasting, targeting need areas and balancing financial expectations.

• Accurately generate, process and update all property and market Revenue Management reports and serve as primary source for majority of reporting and analytical needs of the Revenue Management team.

• Assist with system maintenance including but not limited to, inputting rate hurdles, monitoring forecasted demand, updating group forecasting and running daily system checks.

• Assist with training of new associates as necessary on revenue management tools.

• Assist in the implementation of hotel sales strategies in the reservation and inventory systems.

• Perform daily QC laboratory testing and quality evaluation in accordance with established standards.
• Conduct microbiological analysis of food samples and environmental monitoring of production sites.
• Record laboratory test results, perform data entry, and prepare reports.
• Support document control activities, including the maintenance of food safety and quality records.
• Perform laboratory equipment validation, verification, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the QC laboratory, equipment, and apparatus.
• Manage stock-taking and inventory control of laboratory consumables and testing materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply.
