As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you’ll provide analysis in the commodity space. Your main responsibilities include:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between our restaurant operations and technology solutions. You will lead the design and implementation of two critical systems: (1) a billing and sales expenditure tracking system, and (2) a QR-code-based website for customer self-ordering and payment at each table. Your goal is to increase operational efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance the guest experience.

1. Billing & Sales Expenditure System

· Analyze current manual or semi-digital billing processes and expenditure tracking (food cost, labor, overheads).

· Design and document requirements for a unified system that captures:

· Daily sales (per table, per server, per menu item)

· Real-time expenditure (ingredients, supplies, wastage)

Team: Japan Securities Settlements Operations

About the Team

The Japan Securities Settlements Operations team supports Tokyo-based trading and sales desks, ensuring seamless securities and cash exchanges. Though the business is Japan-focused, the team operates out of Singapore, offering a global perspective and collaborative culture.

The position involves ensuring timely transaction delivery, maintaining operational controls to mitigate operational risks.

• Daily functions include high volume and constant liaising with agent banks, brokers and counterparties throughout the Japan market hours via telephone and emails. Pre-matching and fail trade management abiding to strict market cut offs, report preparation and break resolution are also part of the scope.

As an Operations Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and timely securities transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing high-volume trade settlements and ensuring timely delivery
• Liaising with agent banks, brokers, and counterparties during Japan market hours via phone and email
• Handling pre-matching, fail trade resolution, and strict market cut-off adherence
• Preparing reports and resolving trade breaks
• Maintaining robust operational controls to mitigate risk

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in operations, preferably in finance or securities settlements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and ownership of tasks
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• This is a 6 month renewable contract

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written) – highly preferred but not mandatory
• Exposure to equity products or prior experience in settlements
