We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in sanitary and plumbing works, including the ability to interpret and work with technical drawings.
Key Responsibility
Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for sanitary and plumbing systems
Perform detailed quantity take-offs from technical drawings, including: - Water supply systems (cold/hot water) - Sanitary and drainage systems - Sewerage and piping layouts
Interpret and review technical drawings (tender drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings) to ensure accuracy of quantities and scope
Liaise with engineers and site teams to clarify discrepancies in drawings and specifications
Assist in the preparation and review of shop drawings where required
Source, evaluate, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
Handle tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents and analysis
Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets
Prepare and evaluate progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accountsr and control project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets
Assess cost implications of design changes and drawing revisions
Verify site works against drawings for payment certification and progress tracking
Assist in procurement of plumbing materials and ensure compliance with specifications
Ensure all works comply with relevant codes, standards, and authority requirements
Maintain proper documentation of drawings, contracts, claims, and cost reports
Requirements
Minimum a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related field
Experience in sanitary and plumbing / MEP works
Strong ability to read, interpret, and take off quantities from technical drawings
Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drawing software is an advantage
Knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
Familiar with Singapore authority requirements and submission process
Proficient in cost estimation tools (e.g., Excel)
Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
