As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will be a strategic technical leader for Snowflake’s existing enterprise customers in Singapore, with a primary focus on Financial Services (FSI) and Telecommunications (Telco) sectors.

You will partner closely with Account Executives to drive adoption, workload expansion, and multi‑line-of-business growth across your accounts. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior technical and business stakeholders, guiding them on how to use Snowflake as the core of their data, analytics, and AI strategy.

This is a field-facing, customer-first role that combines deep technical skills, strong industry context (FSI/Telco), and the ability to design and communicate high‑impact architectures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive Adoption in Existing Accounts

• Own the technical expansion strategy for a portfolio of Snowflake customers in Singapore.

• Identify and map customer business objectives to  workloads, use cases, and lines of business that will benefit from Snowflake AI Data Cloud.  

Solution Design, Demos & POCs

• Design and deliver compelling demos and technical narratives tailored to each customer’s architecture and use cases.

• Lead and execute POCs/Pilots that prove value and de‑risk platform decisions, including success criteria definition and joint execution plans.

• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and ROI for senior non-technical audiences.

Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, and Partners to ensure successful customer outcomes.

• Work with SI, ISV, and cloud partners to incorporate their solutions into customer architectures where relevant.

• Capture and relay field feedback to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities, especially for FSI/Telco needs.

Thought Leadership & Evangelism

• Represent Snowflake at customer workshops, executive briefings, industry events, and community meetups.

• Create and share technical content (presentations, reference architectures, playbooks, demos) that supports expansion in FSI and Telco.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive 10 years working experience in customer facing solution engineering role

• Strong competency on modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science , Gen AIand Data Apps

• Excellent ability to present to both technical and executive audiences, whether through impromptu whiteboarding or structured presentations and demos.

• Hands-on expertise with SQL & Spark

STRONGLY DESIRED:

• Experience with large-scale cloud data and ai platforms

• Programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, Java, Spark)

• Experience selling or supporting enterprise data/analytics platforms

• Strong stakeholder management and value-based selling skills

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex business challenges into scalable, secure, and high‑performing data platform solutions. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong commercial acumen, and excellent customer engagement skills.

You will lead technical discovery, architect solutions, deliver compelling demonstrations, and guide customers through proof‑of‑concepts and production adoption. You are equally comfortable engaging with technical teams and senior business stakeholders, and you thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology, architecture, and vision to both executive and technical stakeholders at prospective and existing customers.

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements, current architecture, and success criteria, and translate them into solution designs and implementation approaches.

• Design scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient architectures that address customer use cases across data ingestion, storage, transformation, analytics, AI/ML, and data applications.

• Build and deliver tailored demos, prototypes, and proof‑of‑concepts that showcase differentiated value and drive technical validation.

• Collaborate with Account Executives on account strategy, value messaging, and technical win plans to progress opportunities to successful closure.

• Partner with Product and Engineering to provide field feedback on customer requirements, product gaps, and emerging use cases, helping to influence the product roadmap.

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and how to position our solutions effectively against alternative technologies and approaches.

• Act as a trusted advisor to customer technical teams, building strong relationships and providing guidance on best practices, governance, security, and operationalization.

• Support customer onboarding and initial implementation, ensuring a smooth handover to customer success and services teams.

Minimum Requirements

• Extensive experience in a customer‑facing solution engineering / sales engineering / pre‑sales or equivalent technical consulting role.

• Strong hands‑on competency with modern data platforms and architectures, including:

• Data warehouse / data lake / lakehouse concepts

• Data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and data integration patterns

• Analytics, BI, and/or data applications

• Solid proficiency in SQL and at least one general‑purpose or data‑processing language (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, or Spark).

• Experience designing and/or operating solutions on at least one major cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value and differentiation.

• Track record of collaboration with sales teams to drive opportunities from qualification to close.

Strongly Desired

• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale data platforms (e.g. traditional data warehouses, MPP databases, Hadoop‑based systems, or cloud‑native data platforms).

• Experience working with data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, dbt, cloud‑native services, or similar).

• Exposure to analytics / BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent).

• Familiarity with data modeling concepts (e.g. dimensional/OLAP modeling, data vault, or similar).

A strong understanding of the Singapore regulatory landscape (e.g., MAS guidelines, data residency, cloud security requirements) is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers

• Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation

• Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Snowflake in relation to them

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to provide FSI-specific feedback, influence roadmap, and create reusable assets (reference architectures, demo patterns, best practices)

• Be an advocate and develop mutual trust with the technical audience on the customer side
