Duties & Responsibilities
● Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing the oil to ensure proper vehicle running
● Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper operating condition
● Utilize different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists, and jacks to repair trucks while constantly exercising safety precautions
● Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devices such as motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
● Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly, diagnose issues, and provide solutions
● Replace parts, valves, bearings, and gears as needed, and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems
● Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are within the proper limits
● Ensure that parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions
Requirements
● High school diploma or equivalent
● At least two (2) years of work experience in this, as a diesel mechanic, or other related jobs
● Experience in working with diagnostic computers
● Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
● Technical certification or degree
● Able to diagnose and repair heavy equipment, prime mover, lorry & van
● Able to commit to 5.5 days a week (Monday to Fridays from 8:15 am-5:15 pm, Saturdays from 8:15 am-12:30 pm) with a lunchbreak of one (1) hour
● Able to work overtime as needed
● with class 4 driving license for test drive vehicles
