Electrical Engineer (Construction / Process Construction and Maintenance Services)

We are a growing Electrical construction company looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our project team. This role offers hands-on experience in building services design, project coordination, and site execution, with opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and execution of electrical building services works
• Perform basic calculations such as cable sizing and voltage drop
• Support project planning, scheduling, and manpower coordination
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and power turn-on activities
• Prepare material take-offs and support tender/estimation work
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Manager

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 0–5 years of experience in construction or building services (Fresh graduates are welcome)
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems (training will be provided)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willing to learn, proactive, and responsible

Preferred (but not mandatory)

• Knowledge of local codes (e.g., SS 568, SS 560)
• Experience in cable sizing, earthing, and lightning protection
• Experience in cost estimation or tender preparation

Job Description
To ensure worforce compliance with WSH regulation, Compancy/Client procedures at site
Conduct daily tool box meeting, safety checks and review Job hazard analysis
Safety observation reports
Fatigue Management
Participate in company internal safety audits
Responsible for upkeep of documentation on project matters
Flexible to support project sites at various location in Singapore

Requirements
Minimum 2 years working experience in Process/Construction Sector
Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
Working at Height Supervisor certificate
Certified First Aider
Managing Working at Height certificate will be advantage
Lifting Supervisor certificate will be an advantage
Possess minimum class 3 license will be an advantage

Needed to perform administrative duties in the company such as
- Workforce Records and Training needs
-Procurement of Materials & Office supplies
- Collection of Materials
- Coordination with various Project sites
- General Housekeeping in Office
- Assist in HR Matters
- Experience in work permit matters

Should have good knowledge of excel

Must be able to communicate with various parties

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with 2–5 years of relevant working experience who possesses the following experience, knowledge, and qualities:

Basic knowledge of Electrical Building Services design.
Familiar with local codes and standards (e.g., SS 568, SS 560, etc.).
Able to perform cable sizing and voltage drop calculations in compliance with local codes and standards.
Familiar with earthing and lighting protection works.
Proficient in CAD software and able to carry out minor modifications independently.
Self-motivated individual able to lead a team of supervisors and electricians independently.
Able to coordinate with the Project Team to execute works, including scheduling and manpower planning.
Coordinate and support the Project LEW for Power Turn-On, Testing, and Commissioning.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
Able to communicate effectively and present project updates to clients.
Capable of preparing bid estimations and tender submissions.
Able to perform material take-offs from project drawings (e.g., cable containment routing, small power, and lighting layouts).

Requirements

A minimum of a Diploma or ITE Certification in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification is required.
Strong technical background with sound knowledge of construction works
Proficient in MS Office (e.g Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Knowledge of cost estimation and contract administration.
Possess good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
Drafting knowledge using AutoCAD is an added advantage
Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
