POSITION: Internal Audit and Financial Advisory (IAFA) Consultant

REPORTS TO: Internal Audit and Financial Advisory (IAFA) Manager

LOCATION: Singapore

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Internal Audit and Financial Advisory team covers key industries including Manufacturing, Distribution and Technology, Energy and other various industries and works with leading companies in these industries in Singapore and South East Asia. The scope includes :

· Reviewing, documenting, evaluating and testing controls in a wide range of environments.

· Communicating control strengths and weaknesses to the client or internal audit engagement team and developing effective solutions.

· Ensure timely completion of assigned project phases.

· Develop and maintain effective client relationships.

· Apply understanding of Protiviti policies and proficiency in Protiviti methodologies.

· Apply understanding of business processes and technical skills to successful completion of project assignments.

· Develop understanding of project requirements and client’s business.

· Preparing audit reports on findings and recommendations to senior management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

· Experience auditing in FMCG, healthcare, oil & gas, distribution and logistic, manufacturing or semiconductor industry in particular can be a bonus

· An understanding of core business processes around sales, procurement, payroll, inventory management, etc.

· Experience in data analytics and next generation technologies e.g. machine learning, artificial intelligence will be strongly preferred.

· Project management skills - facilitate timely completion of established project milestones.

· Ability to work in a team environment and foster client relationships.

· “Big 4” or other leading consulting experience preferred

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Operations Management or related disciplines

. 1-3 years in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or industry.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Professional Certification such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or similar strongly preferred.

ABILITY TO TRAVEL

We travel throughout the month frequently based upon client requests/commitments. Travel may include suburban, regional, or out of state locations.

We are looking for a person who is genuinely interested in the AML, KYC, and FCC space with the ability to research, interpret and advise our clients on their everchanging regulatory requirement needs from a Policy, Operations and Technology perspective. You will work on varied projects covering all areas of Risk and Compliance in Regulated Financial Institutions and in general risk areas for non-regulated companies in areas such as ABC, vendor/third party risk and enterprise risk management.   

The Consultant is responsible for:

·      Reviewing, validating, or developing Compliance policies and procedures.

·      Supporting application for payments and capital market license for clients

·      Evaluating and recommending technology led solutions for risk management Adding valuable and creative suggestions to the proposal development process.

·      Developing the ability to discuss industry trends and the related solutions.

·      Supporting project management.

REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

·      Up to 2 years’ experience in Consulting or the Financial Services Industry

·      Strong understanding of Asia AML regulations including HKMA , JFSA

·      Strong data analytical skills; creative problem solving;self-starter; previous project management experience.

·      Strong interpersonal skills to interact in team environment and foster client relationships.

·      High degree of business ethics and understanding of the need to safeguard highly sensitive confidential information.

·      Excellent written communication skills including the creation of policies and procedures.

·      Must be able to maintain professional demeanor and execute effectively in times of high stress.

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

·       Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent.

·       Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management.

·       Knowledge of banking, payments, insurance and/or asset management operations and products and the regulations affecting them.

·       Knowledge of Next Generation Regulatory Technology and Innovation used by Financial Services sector.

·       “Big 4” or other leading consulting experience preferred
